‘Red Flag’ Warning: Portland Protester Said That If Antifa Killed His Friends, He’d Kill Them. The Cops Took His Guns & Committed Him.

Former Marine Shane Kohfield was one of a handful of people who attended a protest outside Mayor Ted Wheeler’s house in SW Portland in July. The protesters, armed with a small bullhorn, complained that Wheeler had never condemned Antifa by name and hadn’t done anything to curb the violence committed by the masked anarcho-communist group.

Kohfield was handed the bullhorn and spent about 2-1/2 minutes explaining how he’d spent an entire day with Antifa at a recent protest. He said he wanted to learn about his ‘enemy.’ He concluded that he’d treated everyone well and that Antifa hit people “like little bitches.” He said he’d tried to sue them and then attempted to get law enforcement to take a look at his evidence of Antifa wrong doing. See the video of his remarks below.

What he said next raised some eyebrows:

And then I sent a letter to … someone in Congress [Navy SEAL turned Congressman Dan Crenshaw]. And the first four pages are me explaining how dire the situations are and how they’re going to start killing us. The first four pages were my desire for peace and my fifth page said … if Antifa gets to the point where they start killing us, I’m going to kill them next. And I told them I would slaughter, and I had a detailed plan to … but the point is, Antifa’s gotten to the point where we have to protect ourselves. We have no desire to fight, we have no desire for violence, but we need to be prepared for it if it happens.

Everyone has a natural right to defend themselves or loved ones. But, Kohfield appeared to veer off the usual right-of-center fare by explaining he’d written a letter to a Congressman explaining his “detailed plan” for “slaughtering” Antifa if they killed people on the right. He said the situation in Portland was getting “dire,” which isn’t wrong. But then he said it out loud in public.

It didn’t take long for someone to invoke Oregon’s Red Flag law and haul him in. Kohfield was surrounded by multiple police officers as he left a relative’s house in Prineville. He ‘voluntarily’ gave himself over to them.

The Washington Examiner reports that the Joint Terrorism Task Force rolled him up and hauled him off to the VA for 20 days to get ‘help’ for his wrong think. The Oregonian reports that the Capitol Police already had Kohfield on their radar because of the letter.

The Military Times reported that Kohfield wasn’t charged with anything, though he was locked up:

…Kohfield, 32, was not charged with any crime, but surrendered five guns, including an AR-15 rifle, according to Phil Lemman, Oregon’s acting deputy state court administrator, the Washington Examiner reported.

Based on the court order, Kohfield – who served two tours of duty in Iraq — was committed to a veterans hospital for 20 days and was barred from participating in subsequent protests in Portland.

The Military Times

Kohfield’s Dad reportedly told police that his son suffered from bi-polar disorder and PTSD after his two tours of duty in Iraq. He’d been drinking heavily recently. It’s unclear if his dad had a say in whether his son would be committed.

Kohfield told The Oregonian that he gave the appearance of being “unhinged” in the video (see it below):

“I looked unhinged. I looked dangerous and have the training to be dangerous.” [emphasis added]

You’ll note Kohfield didn’t acknowledge he was dangerous and violent. Maybe he wasn’t in a position to know. Odd, that with so much known about this case, we don’t know that.

It was only the sixth time Clackamas County invoked the law, according to The Oregonian. Of the 98 red flag law uses in Multnomah County, there’s no telling if it’s ever been used on the demonstrated violent excesses of Antifa. Interestingly, we know all about Kohfield, though.

Antifa actually commits dangerous and violent acts, manifestly unprovoked, and constantly threatens people on the right, me included, in an attempt to stop us up from speaking out. So far I haven’t heard of one Red Flag call on their members. I haven’t heard of Antifa members, constantly committing acts of violence and threats against people with whom they disagree, being committed to a hospital for wrong think.

You might think multiple-time arrestee, proud Antifa member, and long-time Portland Professional Protester™, Luis Marquez, would be a good candidate for this treatment.

But if you’re Marquez, it’s catch and release and then onto the next violent and unhinged protest.

And another:

And another:

Leo Stratton/YouTube

I could go on. You’ll notice, however, that the clearly unhinged (watch the videos) Marquez is free to go about his violent, threatening protests as often as he wants, against people with whom he has a political difference. He doesn’t like what they’re saying. He’s willing to hurt them for their political viewpoints. He wants them banished and hushed because he doesn’t like their viewpoint.

Antifa has made it a cottage industry of dismissing anyone who doesn’t agree with them as a “nazi,” “neo nazi” or “white supremacist” – even when they’re a person of color and don’t hew to that viewpoint. It doesn’t matter. Antifa members consider themselves super heroes. Their magic cloaks are the masks over their faces. Everyone else is a Nazi.

Institutional Portland has picked up on the labels. You’ll notice that Mayor Ted Wheeler was only concerned about right wing groups showing up for the August 18th protest. His concern was not about Antifa, which routinely and reliably starts the violence. It was a colossal example of civic gaslighting.

Recently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi conflated concern about “white supremacism” with gun violence. This was intentionally meant to smear gun owners and reduce them to racists.

A “straight pride parade” troll was recast by antifa as a “white supremacist.” Far Leftists, like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, gave bail money to arrested violent antifa members who’d issued beat downs:

Not to sound pedantic, but the point of all of this gaslighting is the Left’s attempt to arrogate power to itself by shutting down other viewpoints.

Antifa are the human silencers. The shock troops.

Antifa stands for anti-first-amendment. That’s why this slogan, coined at VictoriaTaft.com last March, is picking up steam.

But even center-left Democrats know Wheeler and Antifa are bad news. They’d be booed, targeted, slimed and doxxed if they ever said so out loud, however. It’s possibly why Wheeler can’t be honest and call out Antifa. It’s why he lets them hide behind masks.

It’s why this meme is so popular:

I know there are real racists out there. I saw those tools with torches the night before the clash with Antifa on the streets of Charlottesville and shook my head. It made me sick. Horrible. (Trigger alert: Torch-holding racists, Richard Spencer and Jason Kessler are Leftists by the way.)

Antifa never was blamed for its part in that deadly melee. That was by design too.

Another irony. Considering that the Portland City Council has had a hate/hate relationship with the Joint Terrorism Task Force, it’s more than a little rich that they’re lauding it for its part in rolling up a protester – because he’s a Trump-hat-wearing-right-of-center guy.

Kohfield may get his Second Amendment rights restored to him. Someday. He may be able to go to a protest to practice his First Amendment rights again at a protest. Someday. He may get wonderful help at the VA. And I hope that is so. For now, however, he’s been silenced.

Surprise! PDX Bar Beat Down of MAGA Hat Wearing Man Was Done by Two BLM/Antifa Protesters Who Have Been Arrested Before.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler should condemn what happened to a man in a Portland bar a week ago Friday. However, the ‘leader’ who has given Antifa a pass while condemning ‘right wing’ protesters with a full blown civic gaslighting, is unlikely to do so.

KPTV and Gateway Pundit report that Luke Lenzner was on a date night with his wife and walked into Growler’s Taproom on SE Hawthorne inner SE Portland in the early hours of August 17th. The bartender told him they weren’t serving anymore so Lezner left. As he did so, surveillance tape shows he pointed to his hat.

Apparently, that red hat was just too much for Portland Professional Protesters™ who met Lezner out on the side walk, “circled him,” attacked him and then cold cocked him.

Lezner told KPTV:

“I got mobbed by everybody that was in that bar outside. People came from the inside out – just circled me and my wife.”

They surrounded him like jackals:

“Surrounding me, like literally surrounding me, pushing me. I’m just trying to get through, trying to stop the person from hitting me, from taking my hat, and then I get sucker punched,” Lenzner told FOX 12.

The two arrested are no strangers to Portland police, either.

The two perps, 22-year-old Leopold A. Hauser and 23-year-old Adebisi A. Okuneye, were hunted by police after Lezner gave him their license plate number.

The cops know Hauser from a 2018 scrape with the law involving an Antifa riot and Okuneye was last arrested in another Portland protest in 2017 involving Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

It makes you wonder a few things.

Is Portland safe for Republicans or Trump supporters anymore? Portland’s

Can a guy with a Trump hat even get a beer in this town anymore without getting beaten up by Antifa?

As he told the gathering before the planned Proud Boy, Patriot Prayer march August 17th, “violence is not a civil right.”

As I proposed last March, Antifa isn’t anti-‘fascist,’ the group is anti-First Amendment.

Wheeler would do well to remember that his demonized ‘right wingers,’ once again, had nothing to do with this act of violence and the violence that occurred had to do with a man wearing a hat – an act protected by the First Amendment.

Leftist leadership allowed this bigoted institutionalized balkanization. This is what you call institutionalized bigotry.

Now, what are you going to do about it, Mr. Mayor? If past is prologue, the answer to that question is … nothing.

After Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler Refused to Ban Masks at Protests, Police ‘Discover’ They Can’t ID Antifa Perps

Portland Police rolled up 13 Leftist Antifa rioters who came to clash with ‘Patriot Prayer’ and ‘Proud Boys’ demonstrators at a planned demonstration by the right-wing groups on August 17th.

Before the August 17th event, which saw plenty of illegal and disgusting behavior by the Antifa protesters, Mayor Ted Wheeler condemned the right-wing groups, dismissing them as hateful outsiders who didn’t ‘belong here.’

He said nothing about the far Left Antifa, whose antics have cost Portlanders their safety as well as millions of dollars to clean up after them.

So feeble has been Wheeler’s response that he couldn’t even bring himself to ban Antifa’s masks, something that Police Chief Danielle Outlaw asked him to do.

Now what are Portland Police are reduced to? Asking for help to identify people with masks over their faces.

Sure, guys, we’ll get right on it.

Portland police also asked for help in identifying this person next to the guy in a mask:

This regular Antifa member was last seen spitting on Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson at the Cider Riot! clash. As I reported, Gibson was the one charged with riot for his behavior. Her assaultive behavior was never charged.

Nice ‘burqa,’ ‘lady.’

You may remember that in Michael Strickland’s case, eight of his ten “victims” who attacked him couldn’t be identified because they were masked. Nevertheless, the Multnomah County District Attorney counted them as victims anyway and issued two felonies each on behalf of each of Strickland’s victims. Charges that could have put the man in prison for 50 years. His conviction for drawing his legally concealed pistol at his attackers (no shots were fired) is on appeal. See a variety of the stories about him here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here … there are lots more. Just do a search on this site.

Now the police need help identifying these people … because Ted Wheeler won’t order them unmasked.

‘Story’ on Patriot Prayer Members Found in “Nest” with “Cache” of Guns Is One of the Worst Cases of Journalistic Malpractice You’ll Ever Read

For bad journalism you can’t get much worse than the hit piece about the Patriot  Prayer group contained in Wednesday’s edition of Willamette Week.

This poisonous piece of  agitprop – suffused with factual errors and pernicious assertions – took the hysterical ravings of the Portland mayor and his spokespersons and constructed a narrative to smear the group that had all the the sturdiness of dryer lint. Worse, the Potemkin-like story was used to “galvanize” the mayor’s office to write a new ordinance curbing first amendment rights.

The piece, headlined “Portland Police Found Right-Wing Protesters With a Cache of Long Guns Atop a Parking Garage. Why Didn’t the Mayor Know?” was so misleading, so factually-challenged, so fundamentally dumb that the Portland Police Bureau had to issue a page-long statement ‘clarifying’ the misreading of the circumstances, mischaracterizations of the law and misstatement of facts contained in this counterfeit ‘news’ item.

Willamette Week

The Willamette Week reporter began the piece by ascribing to Mayor Ted Wheeler the outrageous and detached-from-reality characterizations of the alleged activities of the Patriot Prayer group – without ever correcting them. Ever.

From the piece:

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler intended to look decisive Monday afternoon by announcing an emergency ordinance that would give police broad authority to control warring protest groups.
But as he justified his action, the mayor opened a can of worms. He described an alarming discovery—a nest of guns on a downtown roof—that raised more questions than it answered.

She then began the recitation of supposed facts:

In the early morning of Aug. 4, hours before a massive waterfront protest, Portland police officers discovered a group of Patriot Prayer supporters on the roof of a parking garage in downtown. According to a description provided in the mayor’s proposed ordinance, the men had a “cache of firearms,” which a mayoral staffer would later describe as “long guns.”

Let’s break this down. Look at those  terms. Using “Cache of firearms,” “a nest of guns on a downtown roof” made it sound like James Hodgkinson or Micah Xavier Johnson (the leftist loons who shot Republican Congressman Steve Scalise and several other Republicans and the Dallas police officer sniper, respectively) were setting up a sniper’s nest to take out the innocents below.

Patriot Prayer calls for replacement of Ted Wheeler October 13, 2018
Twitter/Mike Bivins

The paper,  quoting the proposed new ordinance, which appears to call for campus-like free speech zones,  expressly stated that this “cache of firearms” is what prompted the proposed change in the law:

“Prior to the start of the scheduled demonstrations [August 4] police discovered individuals who had positioned themselves on a rooftop parking structure in downtown Portland with a cache of firearms,” the ordinance says.

The reporter then added:

“It is unclear when Police Chief Danielle Outlaw learned about the Patriot Prayer supporters waiting on the roof with long guns.”

Cue the scary music. The paper now upped the ante by characterizing Patriot Prayer as  “waiting on the roof with long guns:

Police say they seized the guns—but could not detain or cite the protesters because they had concealed handgun licenses that allow them to carry the weapons legally. Officials say they later returned the firearms.”

First of all, you don’t need a permit to own a “long gun.”  Furthermore, several of the members did have permits to conceal carry pistols. So, which is it, Willamette Week? Which ones did the police “seize” because they were illegal?

The Portland Police Bureau could just be talking out both sides of its mouth, but here’s the “clarification” it issued an hour after someone hit the publish button on the Willamette Week hit piece:

Portland Police Bureau

About that nest of snipers:

“…[O]fficers witnessed several people parking their cars and gathering on the top floor of a parking garage, located approximately three blocks away from the where the event was to be held at the Salmon Springs Fountain.”

In short, police say the Patriot Prayer supporters were parking in the parking garage and getting ready for their march, which included carrying open and concealed guns. They were getting suited up  for the expected clash with Antifa/communista, which never happened – a fact that made Wheeler’s response two months later seem completely untethered from reality.

Here’s what the police say they observed:

Police watched them place items that could be used as weapons, such as make-shift sticks and signs with sticks, into their vehicles and some of them kept these items and said they would not enter the park. The group eventually departed the garage on foot.
Meanwhile, four individuals were located on the northeast side of the top floor of the garage. The sergeant involved contacted them and they confirmed they had three rifles and had concealed weapon permits. The men told the sergeant they were going to stay at the garage and act as a quick extraction team in case any of their group was injured during the demonstration. The men were compliant and allowed the sergeant to inspect the weapons. All three firearms were in cases (one was disassembled) and none were loaded.
[ … ]

…[N]o firearms were seized or taken as safe keeping from the individuals in the parking garage,No arrests were made as no laws were broken.”

PPB did indicate that it was concerned that protesters on both sides have begun talking openly about carrying their pistols and wearing body armor.

I’ve spoken with insiders who say Antifa members routinely carry. It would seem prudent, therefore, to wear perfectly legal body armor if your mere presence triggers the Leftists.

Here’s how WW previously characterized protesters:

“Portland city officials say they cannot stop right-wing groups like Patriot Prayer from demonstrating, even though their rallies often devolve into violence.”

Oregon Firearms Federation President Kevin Starrett told VictoriaTaft.com that  Willamette Week and Mayor Wheeler got their assignment of blame and prescription for a cure exactly backwards:

“Once again the incompetent leftists who mismanage Portland push fake news to distort the truth and cover for the thugs who rule Portland’s streets. Ted Wheeler has only the most tenuous grasp on reality but is determined to demonize the people standing up to the fascist mobs who terrorize people unfortunate enough to have to drive through his miserable city.”

In fact, Ted Wheeler actually allowed the police to do their jobs that day. He, in fact, issued a statement about that success. Police  kept apart Antifa away from Gibson’s group  so there was no violence.  That is, until the communist group got upset and began picking fights with cops. Willamette Week reports, “the day ended with a chaotic, violent clash between police and left-wing counterprotesters.” Repeat: Not Joey Gibson’s group.

But Willamette Week had a narrative, dammit, and it was going to push it for the Left. It intoned, “How much danger did the public and the mayor not know about on Aug. 4?”

Mayor Ted Wheeler, we learn from this story, just found out about the guns in the parking garage two days ago. But the mayor and his minions wrote a new ordinance to curb free speech and did so based on this phony story that there was a “nest” of gunmen with a “cache of weapons” “waiting on the roof with long guns.” The group members broke no laws and cooperated fully with police at a march for free speech that included no violent outbursts. Wheeler worked his Jedi mind tricks to blame Patriot Prayer, formed to counter Antifa violence, as the chief reason the city needed a new protest law.

Let us all know when DHS names Patriot Prayer as a domestic terrorist organization as it already has Antifa.

We saw what you did there, Ted. He encouraged this gaslighting episode probably because he didn’t  want Antifa and the group’s  fellow communistas camping in his front yard again.

Which, naturally, proves the point.

This story was about as unbalanced as the psyches of Antifa members whose violence prompted the founding of Patriot Prayer in the first place.

This Should Be the REAL ‘Tourist’ Video About Portland, Oregon & Antifa

Here’s the latest ‘tourist’ video about Portland, Oregon. Oops, watch out for the communist black bloc ‘traffic controllers.’

“The new Portland travel commercial, brought to you by the Ted Wheeler doing absolutely nothing!”

PDX Mayor Calls for Ban on Free Speech for “Alt Right” After Bernie Sanders Supporter Allegedly Murders Two On Max Train

Three men stood up for right and paid a huge price on the Max line on Friday when a crazed man threatened two Muslim women on the train. Two of the men died and another was badly hurt as they were slashed by the knife wielding crazed man.

In this video,  Twitter user “St. Tenderheart” claims to have been an eyewitness who chased down suspected killer Jeremy Christian who was still foaming at the mouth and in a psychotic episode before his arrest:

The reaction by leftist Portland is curious.

First, a spokesman for the  far leftist anarchist, self described “anti fascists” in the form of Cameron Whitten said the nutter who killed two people on Portland’s light rail was a Trump supporter and that as long as Trump was in the White House he would feel unsafe:

Yes, the person who likely committed the murder is a repeat offender and suffering from mental illness. But if Donald Trump was not president today, I believe we would still have two bright lights among us today. I believe that stronger than I believe in my own birthday.

Then, Marc Abrams of the KXL weekend radio show Kremer, Abrams and Pasero claimed that the nutter was a Christian. No, Marc. His last name is Christian. He’s no more a Christian than you are Abram.

Attempts have been made to connect the killer to the “alt right” (whatever that means) because the accused killer turned up  to a so called “free speech” event in Portland in April. As you can see by the video posted by YouTuber Airliner World, the suspect was  disavowed, told to get out, shut up, and even one guy said “he’s on his own.” As the YouTuber put it:

Please don’t put Jeremy with those guys, they have already made it clear that he wasn’t a part of them.

Christian was separated from the so called “Patriot Prayer Group” by the cops because they didn’t want him in their group. He’s shown on tape (surrounded by photographers) complaining about it.

Christian then walked down the street toward the anarchist, black bloc protesters.

Furthermore, as the website Chicks on the Right discovered, the accused killer appears to be a Bernie Sanders supporter.

Chicks On the Right

But, oddly, Ted Wheeler is not calling for an end to the far left protests that occur nearly every week in Portland — only the so called “alt right” one scheduled for June 4th and 10th.

Remember now, to some people facts are fungible. They’re plug-and-play components for certain intellectually dishonest people  to construct them into a jerry-rigged storyline so long as it concludes that it’s all  Donald Trump’s fault.

In the left’s and City Hall’s  (but I repeat myself) zeal to construct this narrative,  Mayor Ted Wheeler has taken it upon himself to urge the federal government officials to stop a planned “free speech” protest by what he calls an “alt right” group on federal property on June 4th and another one June 10th.

I recognize that Portland’s heightened political atmosphere is ripe for riot and the mayor wants to keep things peaceful. But allow me to remind you that the city has been the victim of several such riots without the presence of so called “alt right” free speech supporters. In fact, the street violence has been a function entirely of the left and helped by the city’s inability or unwillingness to confront it.

Scapegoating the “alt right” in this case is absurd, intemperate and unbecoming a serious politician.

I don’t recall Wheeler calling for revoking or disallowing the planned May Day riots and I actually asked him to do that. I’ve also called for the National Guard to protect the citizens of Portland during the leftist’s riots due to the city’s unwillingness to do its job.

It was leftist thugs who threatened violence against Republicans participating in a civic parade and got it canceled.

It’s understandable that Wheeler’s concerned about riots.  But who’s been doing the rioting in Portland? Not the so called “alt right.” It seems that the better part of valor would be to appeal to the leftists to leave the permitted protesters alone.
