From CNN (see the video below) this afternoon we learn from Jake Tapper’s the Lead Blog that 35 personnel were there the night the Libyan Al Qaeda backed terrorists stormed the Ambassador’s building and the CIA Annex. Seven were wounded. Four men died that night, Ty Woods, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and Ambassador Chris Stevens. It’s not known how many personnel there were attached to CIA.
We do know that the number one suspect in the attack has been free and has NEVER been questioned by the Libyan authorities nor the FBI, according to CNN.
As for the unfortunates attacked that night or who have direct knowledge of the attack? They are being
routinely polygraphed and threatened to say nothing to Congress or the media about what happened on the night of September 11, 2012.
Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings.
The goal of the questioning, according to sources, is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress.
It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.
In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, “You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.”
Another says, “You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation.”
“Agency employees typically are polygraphed every three to four years. Never more than that,” said former CIA operative and CNN analyst Robert Baer.
Congressman Frank Cook has called for a Select Committee on Benghazi to be convened but no Democrats have signed on to help bring it about. He believes a “cover up” is underway.
