A blogger has been jailed and the Conservative blogosphere has been hit three other times by far left loons who have taken to calling the cops to report a shooting committed at the home of conservative bloggers. Of course no shooting has occurred. SWAT teams are sent, chaos and…? ensues. It’s called “swatting” and it nearly ended in the death of one of the bloggers, Patterico, who answered his door with his cell phone in hand and was grateful the cops didn’t mistake it for a gun.

 This happened to bloggers who have reported on the activities of leftist Brett Kimberlin and who have told the story about this convicted bomber and his one man crusade to destroy blogger Aaron Walker. Erickson of Red State and Robert Stacy McCain of “The Other McCain” blog who has been forced to move because of the harassment.

Here’s the 911 phone call the “swatter” made to bring police to Patterico’s home:

Blogger Aaron Walker, an attorney in Maryland until Kimberlin’s activities resulted in his firing, has blogged about Kimberlin’s past as a convicted felon dubbed The Speedway Bomber and in his new life as a “social justice” activist through music. Kimberlin took out a temporary restraining order on Walker, dubbed a “peace” order, to shut him down. Yesterday Walker went to jail. Patterico has some of the tick tock of the legal activity here.

Kimberlin makes a living working for an arts group connected to the Soros funded Tides Foundation. Teresa Heinz Kerry and Barbra Streisand are among the Liberatti who also donate money to this organization which funds many leftist programs including apparently Kimberlin’s activities.
