A kid from Somalia comes to America at age 5 and is miraculously radicalized by the age of 15 and ready to commit violent jihad by 19 because…? Why? What happened to Mo Mo (as his friends at the dorm called him–see post nearby) to cause him to suddenly go batty four years ago? We get a clue from the FBI document:

“Mohamud said that it was when he turned 15, and he explained that during Ramadan someone told him about the martyrs and the virtues, and Mohamud, “didn’t even need to hear about anything else.” Elaborating, Mohamud said, “this is a decision I made and if, if this [the truth] you know…and if you don’t sacrifice your own kids, when will victory come you know. There has to be sacrifice before you know any progress is made anywhere, anything.”

I’d like to know who “that someone” was and what mosque he’s headlining because I think the FBI would like to talk to that purveyor of “The Religion of Peace” about tolerating violent jihad.(see nearby post about the OSU Muslim Student Association). The point is when Mohamud speaks in the affidavit of wanting us out of ‘his’ land of Afghanistan, the Somali born lad isn’t referring to where he spent his toddlerhood, he’s talking about countries run by Muslims.

It’s about religion. This is a religious war they’re waging on us. Get it?
In his book of a few years ago, “America Alone,” Mark Steyn writes about the obvious clues we’re given about violent jihad. He calls it the jihadi reasonable man –or Mohammed– test. He writes:

The mosques are recruiters for the jihad and play an important role in ideological subordination and cell discipline. In globalization terms, that’s a perfect model. Unlike the Soviets, it’s a franchise business rather than owner-operated; the Commies had “deep sleepers” who had to be “controlled” in a very hierarchical chain. But who needs that with Islam? Not long after Sept. 11, I said, just as an aside, that these days whenever something goofy turns up on the news, chances are it involves some fellow called Mohammed. It was a throwaway line, but if you want to compile chapter and verse, you can add to the list every week.

These last three represent a “broad strata” of Canadian society, according to Mike McDonnell, assistant commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a man who must have aced sensitivity training class. To the casual observer, the broad strata would seem to be a very singular stratum: In their first appearance in court, 12 men arrested in that Ontario plot requested the Koran.
Where was our boy radicalized? We might want to check in with the Muslim Student Association and its home Mosque in Corvallis (see nearby post).
