Save The Fog!

The latest victim to fall prey to global warming according to Dr James Johnstone from the University of California, “San Francisco’s Fog.”

Apparently, he has not heard yet that “Weather is not Climate.”

Be that as it may, he tells us,

“Since 1901, the average number of hours of fog along the coast in summer has dropped from 56 per cent to 42 per cent, which is a loss of about three hours per day.”

Stoking further fear in the hearts of San Francisco’s citizens, Professor Todd Dawson, co-author of the report published the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences added,

“the decline could be disastrous for the nearby ecosystems. Fog prevents water loss from Redwoods in summer, and is really important for both the tree and the forest. If the fog is gone, we might not have the Redwood forests we do now.”
