The Beavers retain the class act of the Pac 10, Mike Riley, but who now will take over for Pete Carroll who is in serious talks with the Seahawks?
From the Zero quoting the Beavers’ website:

From the OSU Athletic website …

“Oregon State University head football coach Mike Riley has agreed to a three-year extension, Beaver Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis announced late Sunday evening. The contract ensures the 56-year-old Riley will be on the sidelines for OSU through the 2019 season.

‘Due to the fact there is a lot of speculation on my future, I want to make it known that I’m very excited to be to coaching at Oregon State University and I anticipate doing so for a long time,’ Riley said from the American Football Coaches Association Convention in Orlando, Fla.

And on the Carroll situation, this is what the Zero/LAT report:

The Los Angeles Times reported Sunday night that Carroll had decided to resign from USC to take the job with the Seahawks. The school’s players and coaches were informed of the change through a text message from an assistant, according a story posted on the newspaper’s Web site.

A Seahawks spokesman declined comment when asked about a Los Angeles Daily News report that Carroll had resigned.
