After negotiating back and forth much of the day, the Occupy Portland protesters that earlier refused to clear Main Street voted late this evening to partially reopen Main Street.

The malcontents say they will allow buses, bikes and emergency vehicles only through Main Street.

Earlier in the day, Mayor Adams said he wanted to avoid a confrontation with protesters, he just wanted the street reopened.

Will he cave in again and continue to thumb his nose at the rest of Portland?
