The argument against banning the “plastic” bag is so incredibly weak that even Willamette Week (here) picks up on the story. However, while the talk is all paper bag tax and “plastic” bag ban, the stage is being set for a ban on paper bags. Paper bag manufacturers and grocers who joined the side of the bag banners this time around will see themselves in the crosshairs next time. Look at these excerpts:
