Oregon’s LNG Terminal: Helpful Solution or Catastrophe?

We do want less dependence on foreign oil (sorry Canada).
BUT:

The left doesn’t want any more drilling domestically.
The left doesn’t want any new refineries.
The left doesn’t like nuclear power.
The left has declared hydroelectric power a non renewable resource (!).
The left doesn’t like Liquified Natural Gas or LNG.

What are we supposed to do, collect as a group and blow into windmills? No, wait, that would emit too much CO2 into the air and that would ’cause’ global warming.
What will these people approve? Nothing. Allow the adults to figure this out because the left has shown it is incapable.
Besides, their cry for getting rid of dependence on foreign oil is based upon their environmental tenets instead of the need for national security.

Here’s what Wiki says about LNG.

LNG is principally used for transporting natural gas to markets, where it is regasified and distributed as pipeline natural gas. LNG offers an energy density comparable to petrol and diesel fuels and produces less pollution, but its relatively high cost of production and the need to store it in expensive cryogenic tanks have prevented its widespread use in commercial applications. It can be used in natural gas vehicles, although these are more commonly designed to use compressed natural gas.

Here’s the proposed pipeline locations. It begins in Warrenton and ends at the existing facility in Molalla.
