Bloomberg reporter Jonathan Alter tweeted this little gem today in support of a claim that Mitt Romney will kill people if he becomes President.
He points to a piece by venerable opinion writer Michael Kinsley which claims that the “MItt Romney Murdered My Wife Ad” (see here) is not really dishonest at all–because Mitt Romney can and WILL KILL PEOPLE if he becomes President!
How?
This puts the Republican nightmare scenarios about “death panels” in the health-care debate a few years ago in some perspective. Romney has promised to stop implementation of the Obama health care law on “Day One” of his administration, and to kill it by legislation as soon as possible thereafter. So even if if he isn’t responsible for the death of Ranae Soptic, he will be responsible for future deaths, if he is elected — and this time with malice aforethought.
So not only will Mitt Romney end up killing people it will be first degree murder because: IT. IS. PLANNED!
As another tweeter pointed out:
Not only that but when all is said and done people who couldn’t actually afford insurance before ObamaCare numbered between five and eight million people. These are not people who gambled the money or went clubbing or did drugs with their disposable income but people who couldn’t afford insurance. Under ObamaCare that number of uninsured would be quadruple that. We should have just written those five million people a check for premiums and saved us all the trouble.
Health care and insurance are beside the point. Control is the point.
