Local Muslim Group to Calls off Rally it Never Planned in Portland (Or). News Media Fall for It. Tea Party Blamed (of course).

A local Muslim group say it was forced to call off its solidarity rally after the death of Osama bin Laden at Pioneer Courthouse Square Monday because they received threats from the Tea Party and due to vandalism of a mosque. In Portland.
Maine.

Saba Ahmed of the Oregon Muslim Citizens Alliance claimed that graffiti on a mosque in Portland (Maine) and threats from the Oregon Tea Party caused her to cancel her “planned” rally (see the info on the “planning” they did below). The graffiti back east is shocking and inappropriate to be sure. It should be repudiated by all right thinking people. I certainly find it offensive. It’s not known who put up the graffiti and no one has been arrested.
But once again a politically active group is trying to malign the Tea Party. See the “threats” below:

Could this anti war, politically active group be doing the CAIR hustle and announce a rally so they could cancel it in order to make news? To the point: they “cancelled” a rally they never organized. Instead of calling the media, why not call the cops if they felt threatened? Time was short but they didn’t bother to ask to reserve Pioneer Courthouse Square for their rally–even though as  Saba makes clear in the interview (Listen to my interview with her Click to Listen!) they’d done many rallies there.
Kellie Perez, marketing and communications manager of PCS confirmed to my producer that they did not secure the space. You have to rent the space if you want to use any microphones, bullhorns (that’s for you nutters at the Portland Professional Protester HQ) and any other amplification device.
As you can hear in the interview this rally was far from organized. It wasn’t even planned and the space wasn’t secured. How do you cancel something that was never going to happen? And how do the media fall for it?
And make news it did (see here). CBS news carried it on its news service and, as you can see here, the local news carried the story.

In Dearborn, Michigan a judge recently ordered that crack pot pastor, Terry Jones, to put up a “peace bond” before he was able to proselytize in front of the Dearborn mosque. It’s clearly prior restraint and unconstitutional. A lawsuit has been filed against the city. When Pastor Jones finally did speak in front of the Dearborn City Hall just last Friday, this is what the religion of peace did to him.
And where are the Tea Party threats she spoke about in the interview with me?
I went back and screen capped the threads pertaining to the bin Laden stuff on Oregon Tea Party facebook page —which is what she referred to.
Look at this stuff. Right after terrorist number one is killed and dumped into the drink the worst thing I can see here is that someone wished the SEALS had stuffed his mouth with bacon.

Quick, call the pork police. Instead they called the media.

Were there threats here? Here are the screen caps
