The GOP wanted the Dems to declare themselves on the Senate health care bill so they forced a vote on whether to use the Louise Slaughter plan to pretend to pass the bill without a vote. And guess who voted to pretend to pass the bill?  The usual suspects: Bow Tie Blumenauer and Peter Defazio (who I really thought would have more integrity than this). But lo, Mr. Transparency, Brian Baird, said ‘no vote.’  Hey, isn’t this the guy who said he wanted to know what was in the bill before he voted on it? Wasn’t this the guy who said he was “undecided” about this because he wanted to know how much it cost?
How do you square that with a vote to create an imaginary vote for the health care bill? Wow.
Eric the Great called David Wu today and his staff said he was, “reading the bill,” but that didn’t stop him from voting yay for the pretend we’re not voting on it bill.
And Kurt ‘I don’t want you to see my vote’ Schrader proved he didn’t want you to see how far left this so called “blue dog” is. They all voted yes on a bill to approve the Louise Slaughter plan to sprinkled pixie dust on the Senate health care bill and pretend to pass it.
