Dems Applauded Defeating Social Security Reforms

In the 2006 State of the Union Speech, Democrats applauded blocking efforts at reforming Social Security to avert a crisis.

Many said there was no crisis and problems were a decade or more away.

Now that another crisis looms before them, billions of dollars in deficits in Social Security alone over the next two years, it’s Bush’s fault for not doing something about it?

He might look into it “next year.” After all, he too applauded defeating reform measures.
