Democrat Intimidator Photo: Kevin Kerwin |
This Oregon Democrat Precinct Committee woman believed herself so politically untouchable that she felt free to pick up a phone, place a call to a private citizen, and threaten her.
You and I know this to be a crime, but for Michelle Neumann, it was just another day in the life of being a frothing Oregon Democrat.
…Another day in the life of an apparatchik who thought: No big deal. I’ll call her, growl at her, threaten her, she’ll shut up, we win, move on, right?
And what was the transgression for which the private citizen was threatened?
Writing a note of support to a local
businessman for having the courage to put up his sign.
A sign.
A political sign.
Michelle Neumann picked up a phone and threatened to ruin a mother’s livelihood–picket her employer– because she wrote a note of support for Kevin “The Geek” Kerwin’s sign–which made national news– (see here, here, here, here, here, here, here,) and he put the note–and her name–on his Facebook page.
Neumann, trolling that evil conservative’s Facebook page, decided to look up the woman who had the TEMERITY to DARE write a note of support for a man who would speak against the GREAT SAVIOR OBAMA.
HiI live in West Linn and really love driving by your business. I commend you for being an outspoken Oregon business.I also commend you for building your business. Especially after Katrina. I was a liberal democrat until I moved to Portland.I do not stand for progressive democracy. I stand for the USA and am now a registered Republican. If I ever need computer help…I will come to your business. Thank you for being a patriot!
Neumann couldn’t let this sacrilege stand. She secured the woman’s address and phone number.
She punched in the number.
What was she thinking as she placed the call? Was she thinking: I’ll shut up this b***h and that will show her up for having a different political opinion?
Well, yes.
It’s effect on the victim? Abject fear.
My letter was to support Kevin the Geek in a private email. She asked where I worked so that she could picket in front of my business. I told her that I am an at home mom. I fear that she will show up on my doorstep. I am unnerved that a woman, let alone an attorney, would contact me by first and last name on my home phone number. She told me that I was her neighbor and then harassed me because of my political affiliation. I need to protect my family from any further harassment. Feel free to discuss this situation on your show but please do not use my name. I have lived in 6 states and 12 cities since 1996. I have never had issues with politically intolerant people until I moved to Portland. This is the downfall of raising a family in Portland Oregon.
Michelle Neumann and those like her are nothing short of big fat bullies. She is a one woman SLAPP suit. That would be something with which Neumann would be familiar since she’s an attorney and former writer for progressive blog Blue Oregon.
Her aim is to make anybody who disagrees with her worry that they will be targeted with intimidation and pickets–or worse. Losing their job in this economy? Getting the liberal boss ticked off at them? One Obama EPA factotum was caught on tape explaining how they intimidate businesses recently, “[It is] kind of like how the Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean: they’d go into little Turkish towns somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they’d run into, and they’d crucify them.”
The rest would get the message.
Yup. We got the message. But we’re taking up verbal arms and fighting back against the bullies.
It’s wrong to bully a stay-at-home-mother with small children like this. It’s wrong to do it any time, to anyone. But by the Democrats–progressives–lights, it’s OK if that mom is a conservative. Being conservative automatically makes you a powerful-racist-sexist-homophobe in the eyes of small minded liberals and thus not a victim. You’re an oppressor. Even if you spend your days grocery shopping, cleaning and changing diapers you’re a monster if you disagree with the progressives.
That’ why progressives are Oppressives. Intimidation is their game.
To her credit, Neumann had a fit of conscience–or wanted to be able to practice law again without a blight on her record–one of the two–and apologized to the victim AND to Kevin the Geek.
What she told me and what she asked of me is in the next installment.
