Thanks to an alert 5th Listener and the Daniel is Right blog we discovered recently that our friends at Causa–the illegal alien agitation group–was holding a–wait for it–“Equality” confab to call for in state tuition, driver’s license privileges and to keep the immigration la migra (ICE) off their backs. You’ll never believe who turned up. Portland police and a host of local elected officials who said they’d fight for citizen’s rights for illegal aliens. 
That in a post 9/11 world and after a years’ long fight to get SOME constraints on who should get a driver’s license, state elected officials would promise unfettered access to US identification is unconscionable.
The Portland Police Bureau sent an officer to this meeting to assure these illegal aliens that cops wouldn’t be coming after them. He was gratified that people who “looked like him” were in the crowd. But they’re not the same, you dolt. You uphold the law and the people you were speaking in front of break it–every single day. The coups de grace was when he told the cheering crowd, “Si, se puede.” Usually these pro illegal alien groups like to throw around the social justice bromides as if we owed them something for them breaking the law to be here and take a bunch of free stuff. So I’ll use their own ‘social justice’ argument against them here:
You greedy thieves. You’ve broken our laws and stolen a spot that a legal immigrant has been working for. You’ve stolen it because of your greed. You don’t care about our country and our rule of law. You disdain the law and then use our resources –schools and money–to bash us and say it’s not enough. You demand we change our laws to suit your illegality. How dare you? You steal the very food out of the mouths of the workers who have toiled to come to the shores of the United States of America and who have worked hard for it. You take their place with your thievery. Some of you plan to take advantage of schools and taxpayers by having babies here so you can claim them as a citizen to take advantage of our system–getting free housing, food, jobs. That is immoral and unjust to those who have clamored to come here legally. You are greedy because you don’t care about us, you only care about a pay check. You have come only for greedy reasons–to make more money. We have enough greed on wall street. We don’t need to import greedy people and thieves here. You break into our country using armed thugs. You carry their illegal drugs across our borders and get our children hooked on your illegal drugs. You break the law and pretend it’s for the good of your family and that you want to come to a better place and then you try to change us into your home country. You left there for a reason. We don’t want to become your country.
