Chick-fil-A Story False; Cities Punish Company for Failing Their Religious Tests

George Zimmerman volunteered to the 9-1-1 Operator that Trayvon Martin was black, a Tea Party member may have carried out the Aurora, Colorado shooting, Fast and Furious is a figment of our imaginations, and the Chick-fil-A CEO condemned homosexual marriage.

All of those stories are false.

Wait! Even the Muppets think the Chick-fil-A CEO condemned gay people for getting married, right? Yes. And the Muppets–and Mainstreams–are wrong. Again.

Last week, reports emerged that Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy had condemned gay marriage. It’s no secret that the company is run by devout Christians, but this still caused an uproar. Boston’s mayor threatened to deny the company business permits, celebrities condemned the company, and the Muppets announced fast food chain wouldn’t be able to license any new toys for their kids meals.

One small problem: The president of Chick-fil-A never actually said anything condemning gay marriage.

The Weekly Standard has the rest of their story here.

There’s a difference between supporting traditional marriage and condemning gay marriage. One explains beliefs, another asserts active condemnation.  He did the former and did not do the latter. But, frankly, so what if he did?

Still the worst part of this story is that GOVERNMENTS in Boston and Chicago are depriving Chick-fil-A permits BECAUSE OF THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ABOUT TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE. Put another way: they have instituted a religious test in order for businesses to be able to operate.

THIS IS TYRANNY. IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. IT IS UNCONSCIONABLE.
