89 year-old Helen Thomas, long time White House reporter, has announced her retirement, effective immediately.
Thomas, who has long been a controversial member of the White House Press Corps, recently came under fire for her expressing that Jews in Israel should “go home… to Poland and Germany,” where some 6 million were murdered during World War Two.
Unable to distance herself from her remarks and with several calls for her termination and with her Speakers Bureau dropping her, Thomas has announced her retirement.
