9/13–Star Spangled Banner DayStar Spangled Banner Flag

Most Americans  knew the first verse of the National Anthem, derived from Francis Scott Key’s poem of 9/13/1814, from at least by the time they were in the First Grade and public schools still taught patriotism in America.

That, of course,  was before the public schools were were transformed by Barack Hussein Obomber and his Progressive Liberal Lemmings Politically Correct Marching Band, led by the mincing minions of the ACLU and the National Education Association,  those valiant liberal indoctrinators and patriotism inoculators who never tire of speaking of how much they  “love the children” although so woefully underpaid and oppressed they are working eight-month long work-years while the stingy taxpayers work their twelve-month long work years are so unappreciative of the brainwashing of their children now taught to sing”Barack. Hussein. Obama — Hmm, Hmm, Hmm,” instead of singing all four verses of the Star Spangled Banner as American children once learned.

Star Spangled Banner LyricsIndeed, even among adults modernly, how many know the 4th Verse, which evidences, again, that America put its “trust in God” from the genesis of our free constitutional republic?

In his “AmericanMinute.com,” author/speaker/great patriot/ and great friend of veterans William J. (Bill) Federer, keeps alive on 9/13/2013 the God  trusting spirit of a free America that Francis Scott Key so eloquently and immortally expressed on 9/13/1814, including especially in the fourth verse, to which I respectfully refer you HERE.

May God continue to bless that America of which Francis Scott Key’s poem speaks to us through the generations.

And may  patriot Americans of this generation — Americans not yet transformed by the Bill Federer American MinuteProgressive Liberal likes of Barack Obama, Billery Clinton, John Kerry (Hanoi’s Anti-War Hero Cum Forked Tongue Obomber War Hawk, lamenting: “Jane, Hanoi Jane, -where are you when we need you to attack our  enemies again, those awful  American  patriots who won’t believe us?”), and, of course,  the NEA, the SEIU, AFSCME, and other government unions of alleged “public servants” (now an oxymoron), — may those still-patriotic Americans remember, and teach future generations, as does Bill Federer, the truth of our country’s roots in God and Country.

If you need help in teaching those truths to your children, grandchildren, or anyone else,  see William J. Federer’s classic, “America’s God &Country: Encyclopedia of Quotations,” the best single volume resource ever written on what America’s Founding Fathers, and Mothers, actually said and wrote of their core beliefs in creating the American republic which became the most prosperous, because the most free, nation in the history of the world: “We created a  republic,” Benjamin Franklin explained, “if you can keep it.”

Keep it we must, as Francis Scott Key wrote almost a century ago.  But can we do that, if in the Creator of the Declaration of Independence,  the God of the Founding Fathers, we no longer trust?
