Allow me to reiterate from my previous post:
Yesterday Steve Buckstein of Cascade Policy Institute told me about a little factoid he’s observed. To wit: If Oregon’s “Stimulus” “creates or saves” what it has so far (215 jobs), then it’s on track for 600+ jobs when it’s over. The tax increases by the Governor Kulongoski and the democrats will KILL (according to two independent studies) 70,000 jobs. Lower taxes could have preserved those jobs, but instead we have job loss at a rate of 100 lost to everyone “created.”
**And that takes into consideration only two bills. It doesn’t count the other job killing measures passed by the legislature.
