I’m not surprised. Between the financial crunch and the political class treating business owners as anything other than cash machines drove employers out of the area and shut down others.Add Randy Leonard’s antics and you’ve got trouble in River City.

The number of employed people in the Portland-Beaverton-Vancouver area fell by 5 percent last year, dropping from 1,034,600 to 982,400.

Just you wait to see what the business climate looks like if Measure 66 passes. These politicians are tone deaf on business issues. They think businesses pay taxes. It never occurs to these simpletons that the people who buy the service or widget pay the higher cost—the same people they’re trying to nick with higher taxes in Measure 67.
