President Barack Hussein Obama, His Petulancy, who bows and quakes before Islamofasist dictators and procrastinated for more than three months before deciding to grant, only in part, the request of his hand-picked military commander for more troops to effectively fight the Afghanistan war, is now vowing to “go to war” with Republicans over his Obamacare Bill, starting with a “Look-At-Me“ health care publicity-stunt involving Himself and both parties to be televised by C-span, according to media.
Obama’s move is at once Machiavellian, and almost Shakespearean in its audacity, at least to the extent that it is patently “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. A tale told by an idiot,” and published by the same in Obama’s fawning media elite.
Obama is intent, we citizens are informed, on blaming and shaming Republicans in Congress by a televised charade of bi-partisan dialogue for their failure to vote to support his Obamacare Bill. That is, their failure to support the 2,000-page statutory monstrosity put together behind closed doors with backroom deals aplenty by Democrat Sen. Harry (“Let’s Make A Deal”) Reid’s infamous Obama-approved “Louisiana Purchase” ($300-million political-bribe for Democrat Sen. Mary Landreau’s vote), the “Cornhusker Hustle” (the political-bribe for Democrat Sen. Ben Nelson’s vote, which puts all American taxpayers on the hook to pay Nebraska’s Medicaid costs into perpetuity), and, among others, the deal for Florida’s vote in exchange for a guarantee its citizens will get to keep Medicare Advantage, but the citizens of other states will not. But before Obama stages another self-serving, devious media spectacular to promote himself and advance his Progressive (i.e., Ultra-Liberal) governmental takeover of the healthcare industry, one-sixth of the economy, he should be compelled to answer to the nation the questions of who “snuck” what “things” in the Obamacare Bill which will deprive Americans of maintaining their own doctors and their own insurance if they choose.
That is, Obama in his campaign, and thereafter, repeatedly, in his seemingly sincere way, in dulcet tones, promised Americans that that every American would be able “to keep your own doctor” under his Bill, if they so chose. This refrain was repeated over-and-over by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Obama’s twin advisors, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod, and other Democrats.
We now know those assurances, promises, and representations were deceptively misleading. More correctly, lies.
We know this now because Obama showed-up for media-time at the GOP Congressional Retreat, and
in an almost “oh, by the way” aside, revealed that Americans would not be able to keep their own doctors under his Bill.
Rather, Obama, excusing himself and blaming unidentified others, for the first time publicly admitted that some persons (unidentified by Obama, but who had to be Democrats as Republicans weren’t included in the drafting), “snuck” (Obama’s word) “some things” (His Eloquence’s words) into the legislation which would, in fact, preclude Americans from retaining their own doctors and own health insurance if they choose.
Obama’s revelation comes after a year in which Obama and the Democrats have attempted to foist on Americans a 2,000-page bill that no one has read, and which was cobbled together in the most corrupt of means and methods. It is a disgrace worthy of the Wall Street Journal’s designation of the Obamacare Bill as the “worst legislation ever.”
Now, in 2010, after all the assurances of Obama in his campaign, all the assurances given by Obama and his Democrat lemmings through a year in which Obamacare was the main legislative focus of the Democrat dominated Congress — so dominated that Obama could have passed his legislation without a single Republican vote — Obama, Himself, reveals that all the promises that Americans could keep their doctors and their own health insurance were in fact untrue, bogus, misleading representations. In short: audacious lies.
Although the Obama-adoring liberal media reported on Obama’s admissions at the Republican retreat, the media, which never miss an opportunity to slander or impugn overtly or by innuendo Sarah Palin and Tea Party Patriots — or talk-radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, and Victoria Taft who have claimed all-along that Americans would lose their right to choose to keep their doctors and insurance if Obamacare passed — failed to follow-up and press Obama or his regime for answers to all the questions raised by his admission that the nation has been misled and lied to for over a year on this issue.Therefore, before there can be any credibility of Obama or the media about Obama sincerely seeking bi-partisanship rather than staging a television farce with Republicans who refused to support Obama’s egregiously crafted Obamacare legislation, Obama should first be compelled to answer the fundamental questions presented, including:
–Obama should be compelled to identify just who “snuck” what “things” into the Obamacare Bill, when and how. Obama should have to “name names.” He should be compelled to explain just what the “things” are; explain how they were “snuck” in despite his ultimate responsibility and care and the total Democrat control of the writing of the statute by Pelosi in the House and Reid in the Senate; and why nothing was revealed at the time that “things” were “snuck” into the legislation.–Obama should be compelled to state when Obama knew that the Obamacare Bill contained provisions which would deny to Americans the right to keep their own doctors and their own health insurance plans, and when did he know it.–Obama should be compelled to explain why Obama did not immediately inform the public and demand that the Democrats remove the “things” he contends were “snuck” into the Obamacare Bill.–Obama should be compelled to explain why he continued to urge Congress to adopt, and Americans to support, the Obamacare Bill, as crafted, when he knew that some persons had “snuck” things into the Bill which Obama, Himself, had promised and assured the nation would not be in the Obamacare Bill.
Answers to those and related questions should be forthcoming before any more Machiavellian attempts to deceive the American people as to Obama’s governmental takeover of health care, whether these attempts are by his staging meaningless belated televised meetings with Republicans or other manipulations.
Failing answers to those questions, Obama does not have, does not deserve, and cannot have, any credibility on healthcare reform, or any other issue, as the holder of the highest office – and the highest responsibility – the nation offers. Nor can the elite media have any credibility if it continues to fail to demand answers to the questions posed.
