The new Crumb and Get It Bakery in Virginia probably could have used the PR that a Vice Presidential visit would bring, but the owners said no. The owner of the business turned down the visit by Joe Biden because of his boss’s comments about how small business owners ‘didn’t build that’ ‘you didn’t do that on your own.’

The VP’s advance team found another spot around the corner but the Crumb and Get It owner says a couple of Secret Service guys came back later, said thank you to him, and bought some cookies.
