Senate Democrats failed today to gain enough votes to overcome the filibuster on the so called ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy, which allows Gays to serve in the US Military as long as they keep their preference to themselves.
The final vote was 57-40, mostly along party lines.
