Rees Lloyd in the Courtroom on Veterans Memorials Crosses Case

He’s on today at 6:35. But he sent me a quick note about some observations today:

Best moment at hearing: Judge Pregerson, presiding judge of thee-judge panel, at the close of argument and submission of the case, looked out and saw the public seats filled with American Legion veterans, including individual American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard Riders.
For several long seconds Pregerson said nothing, then asked, “Well, are we going to have close order drill or something?” A Legionnaire shot back: “Yes, your Honor. I’d be glad to lead a drill to protect our veterans memorials from these attacks by the ACLU. These memorials honor our brothers and sisters.” A fine moment.
