I can handle one nation under a groove because it was a silly funk song back in the day, but if you’re a lawmaker and you’re leading the Pledge of Allegiance then stick to the script. But that was not to be as State Representative, Carolyn Tomei of Milwaukie led the Oregon House in the Pledge with these words,

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God  LOVE, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
