KPTV received an I-phone video of Mohamad Mohamud, Mo Mo, and revealed it on the air last night (link after jump). The video was taken one month before he started plotting the bombing of 25,000 Portlanders. It’s unclear who Mo Mo was talking about in the video but it’s clear what he wanted to do with that individual, “beat the ^*^( out of him.”

It sounds like he’s referring to a public figure. One 5th Listener thinks it might be a national talk show host who’s upset him.
“If I met him, I would get 5, 6 Muslims, beat the (expletive) out of him. That’s something I have zero tolerance for. When it comes to our prophet, nobody can say anything. They’re calling it freedom of speech. It’s not freedom of speech. They’re doing it.”
What’s clear, however, is that the man who conspired, bought parts for, and twice tried to detonate a bomb he knew would vaporize thousands didn’t like the country which had given refuge to his family.

“You know what the whole West thing is? They want to insult our religion. They want to take our lands. They want to rape our women while we’re bowing down to them. This is what they want. This country and Europe and all those countries, that’s all they want. They want Muslims to –”

KPTV asked a forensic psychologist, Frank Colistro,  to make sense of this.

“It appears a theme is that of him and his community being victimized by Western culture,” he says.

Colistro told Jim Redden in an excellent article in the Tribune and Beaverton Valley Times here that

…sometimes people bent on murder latch onto a political cause to justify it,
The literature refers to them as ‘sudden mass assault style individuals,’” said Colistro, who agrees with Perlstein that they frequently give off warning signs that should be taken seriously.
