Here’s what David Horowitz of the David Horowitz Freedom Center says about the recent appearance of the pro Palestinian rap group, DAM, at Portland’s Lincoln High school:
The Qatar Foundation has its scholarship in the name of the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Horowitz: you may as well have the grant in the name of Adolph Hitler. The PLO is an Islamic Nazi movement. The Muslim Brotherhood seeks to finish the job that Hitler started. You can read about it on the front pages of your newspaper.
Islam in the middle east is an evil relgion. Islam calls for the destruction of the Jews.
This Islam needs to be repudiated. There are no moderate muslims unless they repudiate the Muslim Brotherhood.
This is an unholy religion.
opn rap group:
there are no palestinians for peace. Both factions of paleinstine call for the destruction of the Jews.
the left of this country has taken up the cause Islmofascism.
the schools are run by left wing teachers union.
there should be a code of ethics that they don’t indoctrinate students but they don’t have one. it would
hitler concealed the final solution…ahmedinejad doesn’t. qaradawi cries it from the roof tops.
there are no significant voices inthe muslim cmu

Local Israel supporter Phyllis Lohse wrote a letter to Lincoln High School’s principal asking, among other things,
After attending the presentation by the Jewish students and Principal Chapman at the Nov. 14, 2011 board meeting, I followed the related email exchange with interest (1). By bringing those condoning terrorism to students, the Portland district condones anti-Semitism (disguised as anti-Israel and anti-Zionism rhetoric/lyrics). Groups like the Black Panthers and DAM are welcomed as controversial by Principal Chapman. Their engagement is made easier with the $70,000 received for Lincolns Arabic Studies program from the Qatar Foundation. Ms. Chapman also was pleased with their vetting process that included Paul Beran, the Outreach Director for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard and one of a number of ardent anti-Israel commentators. (2) > > [The Qatar Foundation honors a leading scholar Dr. Yousef al-Qaradawi with a center in its Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies and scholarships named after him. (3) Separately, Lincoln H.S. Arab language students got extra credit for attending the DAM event at Portland State, where more direct racist remarks were made about Israel; see Lincoln High hosts panel and Lincoln students react to Palestinian music. (4)] > > > > My point is not the questionable funding that Lincoln receives, nor the Qatar Foundations endorsement of Qaradawi, a recognized terrorist supporter. The school board needs to address possible anti-Semitism. The scourge of anti-Semitism is spreading the world over, violently in certain cities. It should not be allowed in Portland, certainly not in a public high school. Those who tout anti-Semitic hate speech should not be invited even if offset with a counterpoint panel discussion. Their inclusion leads only to gradual acceptance of the hate speech, and it wasnt appropriate in the first place.

From Nadene Goldfoot:
Re:  Qatar’s Emir – Sheikh Abdallah al-Thani, Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi,  al-Jazeera TV from Qatar
I’m shocked that cable and satellite distribution in the U.S of TV channels produced by al-Jazeera out of Doha, Qatar may have been only slowed down instead of banned.  Al Jazeera is used by the Emir  al-Thani of Qatar, who established it in 1996 with the political orientation of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Al Jazeera broadcast attacks against the USA and Israel.  It was also in contact with bin Laden, and was pro-Saddam, presenting terrorists in a positive light, speaking for Hizbullah.
In 2009 Qaradawi, global religious leader living in Qatar, incited violence against Jews and Israel on al-Jazeera twice, calling on G-d to “kill them, down to the very last one.”  He’s been banned from entering the US since 1999 for his extremist views.  It’s the Emir who has managed to keep Qaradawi, his Shari’ah adviser, off the US terror list as he supports terrorism.
“Qaradawi hosts a weekly TV show, “Shariah and Life” and expresses his support for terror.  For example, on an April 2004 show, he credited Allah with providing Palestinians “human bombs,” instead of the planes, missiles and weapons that Zionists have.   Al Jazeera is readily available on Portland State’s Arab Persian Student Org. website of http://apso.groups.pdx.edu . Under Home…help, in a box saying “Resources”  http://www.aljazeera.com  comes up.

And, [be sure you’re reading Daily Alert], Why Islamists Are Winning Elections – Bobby Ghosh
The Arab Fall has brought a rich harvest for political Islam. In election after election, parties that embrace various shades of Islamist ideology have spanked liberal rivals. In Cairo, disheartened liberals explained they only had eight months to prepare for elections, whereas the Brotherhood has 80 years’ experience in political organization.
The Islamists, thanks to powerful financial backing from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, outspent the liberals. But the Salafis had no political organization until 10 months ago, and they still managed to do well. Furthermore, a leading member of the liberal Egyptian Bloc was free-spending telecom billionaire Naguib Sawiris.
Like smart politicians everywhere, the Islamists played to their strengths, capitalizing on goodwill generated by years of providing social services – free hospitals and clinics, soup kitchens – in poor neighborhoods. And they used their piety to assure voters that they would provide clean government, no small consideration for a population fed up with decades of corrupt rule. (TIME)

Lowes and the All American Muslim
By Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack                     (plus hear his description in link below)

So you are watching a soccer game in Dearborn Michigan between Al-Tadamun and Chelsea advertised in public leaflets and the Arab American website dedicating it to what they termed “The Day of Jerusalem”. Then you begin to wonder why sports are mixed with such slogans? What is this “Day of Jerusalem” all about? Then following the game you find out it was hosted by Husham Alhusayni, the main spiritual leader of the Karbala Center in Dearborn who had Samir Al-Jabiri and Muhammad Alhasayni thank the imam and said the victory was “dedicated to honor the souls of the martyrs of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa…”.

These are clearly terrorists who murder civilians. But the real question should be as to why no one out of the thousands of Dearborn Muslims watching this hate fest objected to the open support of terrorism?

Husham Alhusayni is not just the imam at the Karbala Center in Dearborn, he is also featured in the All American Muslim that airs on The Learning Channel (TLC). In the program, Alhusayni is seen presiding over marriages within Muslim families in Dearborn portraying their day-to-day life interacting in English. click on http://www.shoebat.com/blog/archives/21213 to read more . . . After the rappers’ comments, Davidson said that Singer heard a girl in the audience say, “Oh, my God, I hate Israel! It so sucks.”
According to Davidson, when DAM members said, “We need to have equality for all people in Israel” they suggested that this would be accomplished when Israel was no longer a Jewish state. “Many students focused on the equality part and applauded. They got the wrong part of the message. They got the human rights part but didn’t understand the implications—that DAM was saying there shouldn’t be a Jewish state.”

about the movie
http://www.jewishreview.org/local/Lincoln-students-react-to-Palestinian-music
The film says: ‘When I walk in the street, my enemy [Jews] comes toward me in ignorance. Ask for my ID. Because I’m speaking Arabic. Here it’s Zionism, racism [equating Jews to racists]. Against all Arabs.’ Off screen, a woman says in English, as if she’s challenging the Israeli policeman, ‘That’s his language. Why can’t he speak Arabic?’ ”
Jewish Federation Shaliach (Israeli emissary) Amos Meron said that the scene was a set-up. At the Tel Aviv central bus station, a past target of suicide bombers, he explained, everyone’s ID is checked, irrespective of whether they are Arab, Jewish or anything else.

> > Thanks, Victoria. Victor said you were covering this topic. Liked the blog entry. Yet the Jewish Review articles were weighted somewhat in order to be “fair and balanced.” All 7 Jewish students who gave their statements to the PDX board were more than offended — and it’s not just free speech. If another minority or the LGBT group would have to hear such a presentation at their high school, they would be screaming. If you have time, look at the Qaradawi attachment to my email to Zeke Smith. As the key leader of the MB, he’s a menace – just how he fits in with the Qatar Foundation needs to be further explored. The MESC (Middle E. Studies Center) at PSU was found some years ago to get its major funding from the Saudis. (Inez Weissman took copies to the FBI about this; went nowhere.) When you look at the Arab and Persian advisors for MESC, all those folks wield much influence at PSU and in the metro area. Also, check out the QFInternational link I gave on that same attachment, they have aggressive plans to spread Arabic at US schools. phyllis > > > > From: VictoriaTaft@yahoo.com [mailto:VictoriaTaft@yahoo.com] > Sent: Monday, November 28, 2011 6:11 PM > To: ptl850 > Subject: Re: Recent appearance of DAM Group at Lincoln H.S. > > > > Please see mt blog post www.
