Hey Ben Cannon’s Office: Still Waiting for Explainer of HB 2186

The bill sponsored by the SE Portland state rep that we’ve chronicled here (here and here) before has now morphed from an “after market car parts bill” (here) to a full fledged ceding of authority on all things ‘green house gas’ to the DEQ (here and here). That apparently means the kind of gas that can be sold in Oregon, the trucking industry hits, tire specifications—and who knows what else? Tell me if you know what it will do. I called Cannon’s office two days ago to find out what he intends with this bill but, after being promised a copy of his explainer, it hasn’t come yet to my email: VICTORIA@KPAM.COM.
Hey, Ben, what’s the hold up? Don’t you want the citizens of Oregon to know that this bill hands over all power to the DEQ without their input? It’s being fasttracked through the Senate. My advice to Oregonians is to do all in their power to stop it. Call your Senator (here) NOW.

Tell ’em where you saw it. Http://www.victoriataft.com
