A 13 year-old girl was drawing an American Flag in art class in her school in Salinas, California when her teacher looked over her shoulder and told her not to draw Old Glory because it was “offensive.”

The same teacher then went on to priase another student drawing a picture of Barack Obama.

The school’s principal was “floored” and apologized for what happened.
