For the May primary, KPAM’s Victoria Taft wants Oregon Republicans and Independents to register as a Democrat so they can meddle with the party’s tight race.

Taft wants Hillary Clinton to beat Barack Obama in Oregon to keep the Democrats divided as long as possible, so they spend their money attacking each other and not John McCain.

They’re Dying in the Streets Because of No Health Insurance. Or are They?

THE NUMBERS FROM THE CENSUS BUREAU SAY:
The usual suspects say that as many as 45 Americans (some say 45m) are uninsured in America. The Census Bureau stats say: Not So Fast Babalooie.

38% (17 mil) of uninsured live in homes making $50K or more
20% (9 mil) live in homes making $75K or more
40% (18 mil) 18-34 year olds who spend 4x’s as much as they would for insurance on cigarettes, alcohol, entertainment
31% (14 mil) are eligible for Medicaid or SCHIP but don’t sign up
18% (8 mil) are truly uninsured because they refuse to participate in society. They’re the homeless, alcoholics, societal drop outs.

Support for War Makes a Come Back

American public support for the military effort in Iraq has reached a high point unseen since the summer of 2006, a development that promises to reshape the political landscape.

According to late February polling conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, 53 percent of Americans — a slim majority — now believe “the U.S. will ultimately succeed in achieving its goals” in Iraq. That figure is up from 42 percent in September 2007.

USS RANGER AND SAVE THE VETERAN’S MEMORIAL COLISEUM

Rally at the Coliseum on Sunday to save at least the “memorial” part of the Coliseum–which is a memorial to VETERANS.
Senator Daniel Inouye, D.Hawaii, will be the featured speaker at the event. It starts at 3pm, Sunday at the Coliseum.
