A 9% + increase in property taxes is a huge hike. What will you give up to pay for the increased costs if these Portland Public School tax increases pass?
Maybe you can afford them, but I sure know I can’t. I can’t be the only one.
If the tax increases pass I will:

• Cancel land line?
• Stop 401 K contributions?
• Sell assets you were planning to leave to children?
• Get another job? 
• Cease contributions to college fund?
• Cut off cable?
• Scrounging for things to sell on Ebay?
