I know that’s a harsh thing to say but how else can you make sense of the dumb move by the Decemberists?  As if this will be a huge shock wave, the Portland based alt band has pulled support for a Susan G Komen Race for the Cure gig and instead plans a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood. This after Komen pulled its $500,000 funding for Planned Parenthood. From their website:

The Decemberists are deeply troubled by Komen for the Cure’s recent decision to cut off funding to Planned Parenthood, a vital resource in the battle against breast cancer. Providing cancer screenings to low income women is integral to the prevention and defeat of breast cancer and it is unconscionable that Komen should politicize this very important issue by bowing to the fear campaign being waged against PP by the right. We’ve decided to redirect the proceeds of the Team Jenny t-shirts and buttons away from Komen for the Cure. 100% of the net profits of these items will be instead donated to Planned Parenthood’s Breast Health Emergency Fund.

Breast Health Emergency Fund? Must be a new one! Planned Parenthood doesn’t do mammograms! Hey Decemberists, I know you read the blog every so often, so without further ado here’s what you’re missing: Planned parenthood does no mammogram screenings for breast cancer. Never has.  Doesn’t even own one.

Even a 23 year old woman knows that. She’s Lila Rose and she stung your beloved PP on that very thing. Don’t worry, the video doesn’t take long:

Planned Parenthood is under Congressional scrutiny for co-mingling funds. The nation’s top abortion provider–which receives $300,000,000 in taxpayer subsidies–has given help to pimps and prostitutes who ran a child sex slave operation and doesn’t provide mammograms to detect breast cancer.
 If you’re still paying attention, here’s the one where the pimp and prostitute seek help from PP to basically put the clinic on retainer to test and conduct abortions for illegal alien, underage sex slaves. PP didn’t even blink. This is only one in a series but you’ll get the point. In case you’re unaware, underage abortions are illegal, Planned Parenthood has covered up a statutory rape in this video. It’s a total laugh riot.

If you’re still paying attention, how about the first sting on Planned Parenthood when the guy called and pretended to want to give money only to abort black babies–and PP said yes! Here’s only ONE of the videos!

Decemberists: as difficult it is to believe that people look to you for leadership they do. You ARE a role model whether you want to be or not. Do your homework before you pull another boner like this one. Guys, it’s ok to admit you’re wrong. You’re wrong on this one. Retrench, regroup, rethink because you’re wrong on this. You’re simply wrong.
