Chanting, “Hey, hey, ho, ho These Budget Cuts Have Got to Go!” the children of the Portland Liberation Organizing Coalition (PLOC), previously known as Occupy Portland called for full funding of schools at their May Day Skip Day Protest.

The 20 students by my count held signs and chanted at the Portland School Administration Office, “Save Our Schools, No More Cuts! ” *Update* More adults and students have shown up to march. Cops are telling them to get out of the street.

Of course, they assume the 1% aren’t giving enough and that’s why schools

don’t have enough money. But if they read this post they will find a different point of view. They might want to learn something and read it.

More updates below:

The school district spokesman Matt Shelby said the kids would be able to get community service credit for their protest if it fits with the subject matter of their classes. I wonder what subject that would be? Cultural Marxism? How to Use Intimidation to Get Free Stuff? English credit for proper spelling on their protest signs? Which brings up this question: who provided those reams of paper for their signs? The schools?

They took direction from an adult photographer and were told at one point by police to move to the sidewalk.

UPDATE: The cops are telling the kids and their adult puppetmasters to get out of the street. So far the kids are staying in the street and the cops are doing nothing about it except to put a perimeter around the Administration building.

UPDATE: Now the kids and their puppetmasters have taken over the Steel Bridge

UPDATE: Now the cops are giving The Children a police escort in the street in the Pearl District

The Children are now trying to storm Lincoln High School. The school has been put on lock down.
