UPDATE AT BOTTOM:
I keep a pretty close eye on the @occupyoregon twitter page because I’m oddly attracted to the chick with the dollar over her mouth. Plus they tweet plenty of gems that we can use for the show.

I didn’t think @mayorsamadams supporting local city workers was a shock but I still wanted to see the link. 

When I clicked on the shortened link it forwarded to a photo sharing page owned by:

Why is @mayorsamadams tweeting photos from @occupypdxmedia photo sharing page?  I checked his very busy twitter feed for the entire day and found nothing.

So I ask @occupyoregon:

 That’s their response?  Well I should check the Liuna Local Laborers union 483 twitter page to make sure (learn more about the local here )

Hmmmm, looks like the local 483 did the same thing except they didn’t try to hide what they did as well as @occupyoregon did  (they didn’t add a colon after @mayorsamadams and they didn’t shrink the link so you can see who took it).

 So I thought I’d ask for clarification

Well they never replied…..until we brought it up on the air and immediately following the segment at 1:05 Wednesday they tweeted me this:

They must think I’m stupid, if the original tweet was from @liuna483 why did they put rt?  So we would think @mayorsamadams sent it, derp!

So in short: This is the anatomy of a forged tweet. Anybody who knows anything about twitter knows that @liuna483 faked a tweet from @mayorsamadams and @occupyoregon knew they did and continued the charade with their cleaned up version of the same tweet. 

 The colon is missing in @liuna483 tweet and not in @occupyoregon

 If it was a Retweet the colon would be automatic

if @mayorsamadams tweeted a pic it would be on @mayorsamadams photo sharing service  (Anthony Wiener anyone?)

I’m pretty sure that that Mayor Sam supports city workers unions so there was no real reason to pull these shenagigans, he probaby would have retweeted them if they asked him to. 

If I pulled this kind of stunt  I wouldn’t have a job anymore,  Great Scott!  Now I know why they don’t have a problem with it.
