And if this were George Bush…
Janet Napolitano said the system “worked” to stop the attack. I suppose she’s placing
Danish Dutch men on all flights these days since Americans trying to stop such an attack would be prosecuted. (see her handbook on who the real bad guys are). Perhaps that’s what she meant by the system worked.
What we are focused on is making sure that the air environment remains safe, that people are confident when they travel. And one thing I’d like to point out is that the system worked. Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action.
And then we have Attorney General Eric Holder, who the other day in the Washington Post, referred to the attack stopped by the nice
Danish Dutch man (see above) as an “alleged” attack. That will come as a surprise to the Danish man, the passengers, and the terrorist for that matter.
“This alleged attack on a U.S. airplane on Christmas Day shows that we must remain vigilant in the fight against terrorism at all times,” U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said. “Had this alleged plot to destroy an airplane been successful, scores of innocent people would have been killed or injured.
“We will continue to investigate this matter vigorously, and we will use all measures available to our government to ensure that anyone responsible for this attempted attack is brought to justice.”
And then as Lew has pointed out (see post below), the “Commander in Chief” is once again seen on the golf course within days of the attack.
They have no clue.
**Sorry about the screwup on the nationality of the good guy.; he’s a Dutch film maker. The last Dutch film maker I heard about in the news was the one murdered in the streets by Islamic terrorists.
