We always hear about how “SUV’s” are involved in accidents. I thought I’d just let you know about this Toyota Pius that ran a light and went after a school bus like a wild crazy out of control energy consuming corporate bad guy:

At approximately 1130am a Fairview Elementary school bus going southbound on the NE 238th Ave overpass over I-84 was struck by a passenger vehicle (Toyota Prius) attempting to turn left onto the onramp to I-84 westbound. The School bus was traveling at approximately 20mph as it traveled through the intersection on a green signal. The passenger vehicle struck the front of the school bus. There were approximately 20 school children on the bus at the time of the accident. One child (male) was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, the parent of the child arrived at the scene and was present at the time the child was transported. The male driver of the passenger vehicle was transported by ambulance to the hospital as a precautionary measure for his injuries. The remaining children were transferred to another school bus to continue on or were picked up at the scene by their parents.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.

I can only imagine the coverage if this had been an SUV.
