The Vancouver Canuck riots get an assist from anarchists and as a result hell erupts. This is the iconic photo from the riots. Trying to literally romanticise the event is the ardent wish of every one of these “revolution for the helluvit” vandals. Don’t buy it.
Supposedly the couple reports the photo wasn’t staged, that the young lady was knocked over by the cops and her paramour came to save her and, in the moment, kissed her.
You’ll forgive me if I cry harrumph on that.
As a photographer I say now THAT’S A TERRIFIC SHOT, staged though it may be.
I’m sure someone will receive an award for it. The award should be for opportunism and it would be well deserved.
