Reporter Stuns Russian TV Host With Diatribe on Gay Laws

Gay reporter Russia TVReporter James Kirchick was supposed to come on a Russian news chat show and talk about Bradley Manning, the infamous leaker of American secrets to the website Wikileaks who had been sentenced to 35 years in prison. Instead, Kirchick upended the conversation and launched into a diatribe against Russia’s gay laws instead. Via the Washington Free Beacon,

“Being here on a Kremlin-funded propaganda network, I’m going to wear my gay pride suspenders and speak out against the horrific, anti-gay legislation that Vladimir Putin has signed into law,” Kirchick said.

Kirchick was speaking from Stockholm, Sweden when he did his entertaining rant so there was never fear of reprisal. One wonders if he would have done the same in Russia where his words were now outlawed. I also wonder this: when will the collective left begin to speak out forcefully against Islamist Sharia law which requires even worse things done against gays and other ‘infidels’?
