Unintentional but accurate edit

A collection of anti Israel, pro Palestinian and International Socialists Organization members attempted to crash a lecture by a terrorism expert last night at Portland State University but their “protest” was for show. They came to the Christians United for Israel event with their signs calling for “peace,” “no racism” and “anti apartheid” messages, which intended to convey the message that Jews are racist, war mongering and racial separatists.

In the days leading up to the lecture, posters for the event were torn down and at least one bore a scrawled swastika in the middle of the Star of David. So much for that peaceful message. See my post about that here.

Wearing tape over their mouths, the 40 or so protesters sat in the audience of the lecture by Erick Stackelbeck of CBN News.  Protesters had been encouraged to stay and ask questions, but about 20 minutes into his lecture protesters

began leaving. They scraped back their chairs, yelled epithets and waved their signs as they concluded their “silent” protest.

Don’t take it off & remove all doubt

When it did come time for questions it became evident why the majority of the protesters didn’t hang around. They had nothing  intelligent to say. That could be an unfair statement, but I’m just judging by what they actually SAID.

One protester yammered on  for what felt like five minutes, eventually telling the speaker she thought he was disrespectful because well, he just was, doggone it! She then thought she’d ingratiate herself to the Jewish and Christian crowd by going into a WWTD (What would Tevye do?). That’s right, she brought up the tradition loving–and fictitious– Jewish father from Fiddler on the Roof. Perhaps we’ll soon see her at a predominantly black church where she’ll hold forth about how much she loved what Whoopie said in Sister Act.

The content of the lecture was solidly sources. This is information readers of my blog and listeners to my show have heard time and again. Stackelbeck described the Iranian proxies in Hezbollah and the nuclear threat coming from Iran. He tackled civilizational jihad which includes in the inculcation of the universities by Muslim Brotherhood organizations such as the Muslim Student Union and CAIR.

Good for CUFI and Stand for Israel who held the event and didn’t flinch when the bullies tried to intimidate them to shut them up and then came to the event to try to shut them down.
