Actual observation of the debate coming up, but I’ve got kids to tend to and meeting to get to.
Observations:
I suspect BHO is getting blowback on being part of the problem on the housing crisis. Of course he should be called to account. Here’s a guy who, as a community organizer for the NOTORIOUS group ACORN, called for cheaper mortgages for people who couldn’t afford them and when the banks pushed back, SUED THEM for their failure to give out risky loans. Then we find out from Biden in the debate last night that now BHO is claiming he warned of the coming crisis two years ago. Does he just make it up as he goes along?

Barack Obama pointed out two years ago that there was a subprime mortgage crisis and wrote to the Secretary of the Treasury. And he said, ‘you’d better get on the stick here, you’d better look at it.’

Biden went on to lie, yes, lie about McCain being “surprised” about the subprime mortgage debacle. Why would a guy who years ago, saw this coming and proposed a fix, now be surprised?

Biden also said that for people who took on too much of a mortgage for too much of a house should get relief. And what relief it will be. With this kind of relief, why wouldn’t everyone declare bankruptcy? After all, if your largest asset cannot be taken, and they will pay it down for you, why not just rip off the system in the way so many have?

What we should be doing now, and Barack Obama and I support it, we should be allowing bankruptcy courts to be able to readjust not just the interest rate you are paying on your mortgage to be able to stay in your home but be able to adjust the principle that you owe. The principle that you owe.
