Finally! An inspector who’s looked at what they’re selling in the half BILLION dollar school bond and thinks he smells a rat…

“I am concerned about false information contained in the PPS “Portland Yes Schools” voter information flyer. This false information embellishes, sensationalizes, dramatizes and twist the truth about some building conditions and their health effects on students and staff. They [misquote] legal facts about asbestos and claim buildings are “crumbling.””

If the quotes in the Portland Yes Schools voter information flyer were true, EPA & OSHA could fine PPS up to $77,600 per/per citation retro-active back to 1995 and the City of Portland Building Codes Division would also fine PPS up to $1,000/day/citation and probably close some schools for Health, Life & Safety Violations.”

I am a registered Oregon Architect/Environmental Consultant/Certified State of Oregon Energy Auditor/author and instructor of eight federal environmental law courses on the subject of asbestos/AHERA/ASGHARA/OSHA & OROSHA laws. I am a past co author of Oregon Building Codes Laws, have 42 years of experience in 13 states on all types of buildings and the highest licensing credentials in the world as an ANCARB Certified Architect. I have specialized in building condition investigations and codes consulting for 30 years.
As for the commercials being run by the wealthy group behind the half billion dollar bond measure?

These look like maintenance issues and possible EPA concerns. In other words, the same people who won’t keep up maintenance at the schools now want $500,000,000.00 to rebuild schools. That’s like saying you got a flat so you need to buy a new car and you know that because the car salesman told you.

And where were the commercials filmed? According to their producer, Ben Unger, these maintenance etc issues were filmed at: East Sylvan, Alameda, Roosevelt, Laurelhurst, Creative Science, Wilson, Benson, Jason Leigh.
