As a bipartisan group of lawmakers call on the Obama administration to reconsider the moratorium on drilling oil off shore in the Gulf, calling it an “overreaction” to the Deepwater Horizon tragedy, we also read of how “the United States and its international partners were looking to use the expertise of giants in the oil industry to generate growth.”
The problem being, such growth is for the benefit of the Iraqi people, not Americans.
If “green energy” is a must and we also must “get off of oil,” shouldn’t such measures be encouraged in Iraq as well to benefit the Iraqi’s, who’s own oil wells and pipelines are being subjected to ongoing sabotage, creating environmental hazards there as well?
