I haven’t seen any coverage of this, but Multnomah County Attorney Agnes Sowle is resigning October 1 and is being replaced by Chip Lazenby.
I don’t know the reason(s) for Sowle’s resignation, but she did preside over the disastrous Dorothy English property case that will cost MultCo taxpayers a couple million in damages and attorney fees. Sowle also worked with Diane Linn and the Mean Girls to draft the 2004 gay marriage opinion which was later struck down by a unanimous Oregon Supreme Court.

Maybe she’ll spend her retirement making up new interpretations of law and pretending there’s no constitution!
