These past few days have been among the most annoying I’ve spent with the computer. This tech induced frustration comes from the Google (blogger) changing its IP protocol on private domain names which resulted in who knows how many blogs tossed off the internet. Did blogger bother to tell its users this? No, you had to cull through blogger help groups and hope the guy who posted the most had some idea of what happened and hope someone else had some ideas of how to fix it. It is among the most collosally frustrating experiences I’ve had in quite sometime.
Some bloggers may have been able to switch it around for themselves pretty quickly. I don’t have hours at a time to ferret out the idiosyncracies and protocols of the google mind, so it took me awhile to work it out.
Finally, I called the organization through which I’ve registered my domain name and paid money to get stuff bounced back to the site.
I thought I’d explain to you what happened and ask the question: Hey wordpress bloggers, how do you like it?
I’m going rogue…eventually anyway.
