Flamboyant British has been, Boy George, has released a musical tribute to “the one” titled, naturally, Yes We Can.

One wonders if inspiration came for the tribute while the “Drug Crazed Idiot” had his “escort” handcuffed to a wall and beating him with chains?

Tell ’em where you saw it. Http://www.victoriataft.com

  1. I can always count on you, abel. You cannot comment without showing your hatriotism towards Bush.

You are going to be so lost during the next 4 years.

Oh, if you want to see who is being set up to be king, what party tries to repeal the 22nd amendment, only when one of theirs is in power?

  2. iago, why would there be any tributes to Bush? This is homey’s moment in the spotlight, as Boy George sang.

Me? I think I’ll just stay home and enjoy me some more watermelon. We Southerners just loves our watermelon.

  3. Awe that was really nice. As the the comedian who played church lady would say with pursed lips. Now, isn’t that special?

What happened to minieme? Doesn’t he have a thing for you King Lew?

Off to buy some of them thar Obama drawers for sure. 😉

  4. iago, you don’t know us Southern Boys and our watermelon.

Witchypoo darlin’, don’t be gettin any of them thar Obami Drawers with skid marks. Those were for the liberal neo-coms.

  5. Southern boys are ok, except for the unrepentant descendants of the traitors that fired on our flag for four years. Of course you are not one of those. Us Northerners like our watermelon too, especially on the 4th of July.

  6. Yes I do if the descendants are unrepentant. Color has nothing to do with firing on our flag. A traitor is a traitor no matter what the color or creed.

  7. Lots of Southern people, mostly White, but a few Black descendants of Confederates, are proud of the Ol’ Stars and Bars, which was actually a Battle Flag, not the flag of the Confederacy.

Do you consider Southerners who aren’t ashamed of the heritage and embrace it as “unreprentant?”

BTW, my comment above should have read, “I’d say her Daddy was fortunate [NOT] to end up in a Union Contraband Camp.

As for unrepentant and your claim of, “A traitor is a traitor no matter what…” do you also apply that to politicans who have denigrated the flag or associate with those that have?

What about those that make false claims against our Troops or deserted from a committment to serve?

Do you consider staunch opposition to the elected leader as an equivalent to “firing on the flag?”

    If not, why not?

  8. 1. Do you consider Southerners who aren’t ashamed of the heritage and embrace it as “unrepentant?”

1a. The operative word is “unrepentant”. In my opinion a Southerner can be proud of his heritage so long as he recognizes that what his ancestors did was wrong. I imagine there are veterans of the German and Japanese armies who are quite proud of their service but realize that their respective governments were misguided.

    2. As for unrepentant and your claim of, “A traitor is a traitor no matter what…” do you also apply that to politicans who have denigrated the flag or associate with those that have?

2a. Firing on the flag is a euphemism. I draw huge distinctions between attempting to destroy the union, taking up arms against the government and those who denigrate the flag or even burn it as an act of free speech.

    3. What about those that make false claims against our Troops or deserted from a commitment to serve?

3a. While making false claims against our troops or desertion is wrong, and often a crime, it certainly is not prosecutable as treason.

    4. Do you consider staunch opposition to the elected leader as an equivalent to “firing on the flag?”

4a. No. Again to remind you “firing on the flag” is a euphemism eventhough many Southerners literally did that. Staunch opposition to an elected leader is a constitutional right. If it is treason then you personally are going to be at risk for the next 8 years. No one is saying that you cannot staunchly oppose President Obama even as you have done before he has served a single day in office.

  9. This just in.

ARLINGTON, Va. — President-elect Barack Obama has laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery after a short ride from Blair House.

Obama, holding his hand over his heart, was joined at the tomb by Vice President-elect Joe Biden and Gen. Richard Rowe, commander of the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.

Visitors to the hallowed burial grounds cheered Obama’s limousine as it passed by under cloudy skies Sunday morning.

  10. “The operative word is “unrepentant”. In my opinion a Southerner can be proud of his heritage so long as he recognizes that what his ancestors did was wrong. “

Don’t you mean so long as he recognizes what YOU think his ancestors did was wrong? Here again a perfect example of the left trying to tell people what they are supposed feel ashamed of. The history of the Democratic South and their practice of slavery is rich with history that has never been told. It was a heated era. The negro was being used as a commodity and the south wanted the freedom from the north’s rules against slavery. The south flourished and the south to this day still has some majestic mansions built by the hands of slaves. The Ashton Villa in Texas, the slave quarters by their admission are gone.

To judge an era in time as the 1860’s, we would be seeing things from our own perspective, today’s perspective.

It also a known fact that there were black slave owners which by your standards these descendants should be ashamed of.

Exploitation of people has been happening for centuries. The word slave does not come to mind in today’s human trafficking of Mexicans. Brought here to live in squalor, beaten, raped, killed. Yet, the left is now condoning this same behaviour that it tries to scold the south for having done.

I refuse to make light of the slavery, it is a very real part of our history. Look up the word slave. A slave is a worker. We are now slaves to our jobs. We are slaves to the rules and regulations of this government that refuses to set us free. For instance, try not paying your taxes. You will find out how free you are.

As for Obama trying to mimic a the Republican President Lincoln, I find humorous. Raised in other countries, whose father knew nothing of being treated like a Negro that needs to sit at the back of the bus. He is too young to know what the civil rights era was all about to now try and be the end all? He doesn’t even begin to know what racism is all about. Imagine that? A black man in the highest position in America trying to say there is racism.

    iago, you are delusional.

  11. Lew changes hats. If you do not accept my basic premise that it is treasonous to take up arms against the government then we have nothing to talk about.

  12. 1. Are you saying today’s Southerners MUST be ashamed of their heritage while embracing it? I know of very few that agree slavery was a good thing today. White Supremacists being the exception and hate to tell you, they come from the North as well.

    2. I fully realize that “firing on the flag” is a euphemism. That is why I asked. John ‘F’in Kerry, the 2004 Democrat candidate for POTUS (who I’ve heard served in Viet Nam) testified to Congress in 1971 a pack of outright lies. He denigrated the service of some 2.5 million Service members.

Ted Kennedy’s speechwriter worked closely with Kerry to help his “spontaneous” speech to the Fulbright Commission. Conflicting views were not permitted.

John Murtha, another Democrat, denigrated the United States Marines by claiming they were committing cold-blooded murder in Iraq.

Obama associated with William Ayers, a domestic terrorist who had his photo taken to promote his book standing on the flag in an alley.

Obama, just yesterday, called for a New Declaration of Independence. Didn’t the old one serve him well enough?

On Afghanistan, further denigrating our Troops (and nation) Obama said, “We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there.” I believe our Troops do much more than “air-raid villages and kill civilians.”

What do you call leaking sensitive material to the press that reveals our plans and undercover operatives to the world and our enemies? In World War Two that was called treason and got Troops killed, as well as CIA agents today.

When do the Democrats issue an official apology for their strong role historically in slavery, the Ku Klux Klan, filibustering the Civil Rights Legislation in the 1960’s, keeping today’s Blacks in ghettoes on the gubmint dole, convincing them they cannot make it in society and to accept the hand-outs they meagerly give?

    3. Hate to tell you, but desertion in time of war is prosecutable as treason and punishable by the death penalty, although it hasn’t been implemented since WW2.

Article 85, section 3c of the UCMJ states, “Any person found guilty of desertion or attempt to desert shall be punished, if the offense is committed in time of war, by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct, but if the desertion or attempt to desert occurs at any other time, by such punishment, other than death, as a court-martial may direct.”

I guess BJ Clinton should be happy it wasn’t enforced since he not only dodged the draft, but also actually deserted by not showing up for the Reserves he enlisted in on August 07, 1969. Instead, he became the Democrat president of the country.

Then again, serving in the Ku Klux Klan instead of enlisting in the Military during the War didn’t seem to have any ill effect on Democrat Senator Robert C. Byrd of West Virginia.

    4. I asked about staunch opposition of the sitting president mostly to have your words to remind you of what you said as we spend the next 4 years exposing the most inexperienced person to ever occupy the Oval Office as he stumbles through a single administration.

As for his visit to the Tomb of the Unknown, what took so long and why is it such a big newsworthy item? Bush has made regular visits to the Tomb as well as held many private meetings with both the Troops, families and visited the hospitals, all without fanfare. Unlike Obama who cancelled his visit with wounded Troops in Landstuhl Germany when he was told he couldn’t bring press photographers along.

So, what is so newsworthy about he and Biden finally visiting the tomb?

It seems he is incapable of paying respects unless he has a full entourage of press and photographers along.

As for his claims of all this bigotry in America, did it escape him that he duped the majority of Whites into voting for him, or he wouldn’t be set to assume the role of extreme most high grand exalted messiah this tuesday?

  13. “Lew changes hats. If you do not accept my basic premise that it is treasonous to take up arms against the government then we have nothing to talk about.”

Nowhere have I advocated armed insurrection, iago. Nor have I accused you of advocating such.

However, I do admit that our second amendment is in place in case such would be required.

  14. Ok so it is agreed:

    1. Taking arms up against the government is treasonous.

    2. The Southern states took up arms against the government in the Civil War.

    3. Therefore the Southern states engaged in treasonous conduct.

  15. Not so fast there, son. You forgot the small matter of the second amendment and its purpose.

The South was not trying to overthrow the government. They were simply attempting to build their own country separate of the established ‘yankee’ government.

You might say it was the Northern States that took up arms against the Confederate States.

However, an argument could be made that the actions of Democrats and the media lapdogs these past 8 years might amount to your idea of “firing on the flag” in their vitriolic opposition to the Bush administration.

  16. So Lew it is ok for Americans to fire on our flag and American soldiers and to attempt disunion of the government. But war protesters are treasonous. You better go back to hating Obama and leave the law alone.

  17. Lew said, “However, I do admit that our second amendment is in place in case such would be required.”

So you are then advocating for an armed insurrection against our Democratically elected President and Congress. Be careful someone might forward your comments on to Homeland Security. I believe they were created for just this type of reason. Golly, your hatred for the United States of American is really shocking.

  18. C’mon disabled, even you know better than that.

If I actually “hate” anything it is the neo-com Socialist/Communists that are trying to destroy America and recreate the Soviet Union here.

Then again, only a leftist desiring such wouldn’t have read the Federalist Papers where that very comment was made.

  19. BTW, disabled, which side was it in March 2007 that burned a soldier in effigy while chanting “Build a bonfire
    Build a bonfire
Put the soldiers on the top.
Put the fascists in the middle,
And, we’ll burn the f**king lot,”

And which side on that same day had one of their number drop trou in the middle of street and defecate on a burning American Flag?

No one can compare to the hatred of you leftist scum.

  20. “So you are then advocating for an armed insurrection against our Democratically elected President and Congress. Be careful someone might forward your comments on to Homeland Security. I believe they were created for just this type of reason. Golly, your hatred for the United States of American is really shocking.”

Aren’t you the radical, fall into the ocean left, the same that spewed such hatred against a president that you advocated his assassination? To the extent that a bogus movie was produced? The all out hatred campaign that the elitists left embarked upon is evident. NOW you have the gall to project what you have done onto conservatives. This is typical, typical of all things left to be swept under the carpet.

Unable Johnson, Cuttin Cheese MiniMe, you do NOT dictate how a person feels, or what they have a right to say, or who is hateful or has hatred towards the United States, when you have by your own admission said that you would love to see this country fall to Socialism, and full blown Communism by having Republicans arrested for their political affiliation.

Here is a news flash to you also, when it does fall to all out Communism, it won’t be reported on in the United States where the left and the likes of people like you are ready to make love and slobber on this new President. No. It will be reported on in OTHER countries watching us misstep and wondering why the US has lost it’s mind.
