Portland Professional Protesters™ Violently Storm City Hall to Demand City Hall Stop Punishing Them for Violently Storming Portland

The cadre of far Portland Leftists who, at the drop of a hat, will grab their protest signs from the umbrella stand, burrow into their closet for their nail-backed flag pole, and rifle their mom’s sock drawer for their balaclava, stormed city hall on Wednesday – injuring several guards and forcing the city commissioners to flee their meeting.

What was the reason why commissioners, including Mayor Ted Wheeler,  fled to the safety of mayor’s office?

From The Oregonian:

“A protest against police brutality itself turned violent Wednesday when activists attempted to storm Portland City Hall, clobbered one security guard and scuffled with several others.

It was the biggest disruption to a Portland City Council meeting in more than a year, but the Council did not address the substance of protesters’ ire: violent crowd control techniques used by police during a large counter-demonstration downtown Saturday.”

Or, in other words,  “Portland Professional Protesters™Violently Storm City Hall to Demand City Hall Stop Punishing Them for Violently Storming Portland.”

And they brought their balaclava-wearing ‘best.” Here’s another excerpt from The Oregonian:

“One demonstrator, who was masked and wearing a baseball helmet, smashed a security guard over the head repeatedly with a megaphone. The guard was seen afterward clutching a bag of ice, a bruise beginning to form on his cheek.

City Hall security chief Dorothy Elmore said she was also struck by a protester, in the arm.

An unidentified man, bandana-clad and lying on the floor outside the mayor’s office, was detained and carried out of City Hall by his arms and legs. Cops also arrested Diane Keeauver, 67, said Sgt. Chris Burley, a Portland police spokesman.”

She seems nice:

The Orwellianly-named anti-fascist protesters are violently upset about a couple  key things:

  1. They’re upset that the city gave the Patriot Prayer group a permit to hold their “free speech” march
  2. They’re PO’d that police for the most part successfully kept them apart from the Patriot Prayer group. Why? According to their Twitter timelines, they’re upset that police “protected” the people they don’t like (and they didn’t have the opportunity to bash their heads in, like, for example, what they did to the guards at City Hall)
  3. They’re upset because police employed flash bang distraction grenades and other methods of non-lethal force to disperse the violent mob– and they worked.

Antifa and their allies in the ACLU, and friendly, in-the-tank websites, depend upon an incurious MSM media and the reliably Sgt Schultz-like BAMN-believing Left-wing power players to ignore a few key things:

  1. Antifa brought illegal mortars to set off in order to blame the cops for deploying too many flash-bangs, the complaint for which they violently stormed City Hall.

2. Antifa rioters brought other weapons as they usually do to harm opponents.

3. In addition, Antifa feigns outrage by distracting (squirrel!) people to a trumped-up ‘wrong’ done by their opponents. Police have suggested that it was Antifa that brought Confederate flag draped objects to show others, that, see, they’re not the fascists here.

Some Patriot Prayer people may have brought some of it for all I know, but Antifa is all about disinformation, starting with the group’s very name.

4. Also, Antifa blamed ‘injuries’ on cops. That may have happened, but the disinformation campaign by the group included overstating at best, and fabricating at worst (see my post from yesterday which proves this), injuries from ‘police.’ Worse, some have made the case that the ‘injuries’ were accidentally self inflicted from their own explosives.

If the Patriot Prayer group didn’t exist Antifa would find another group of people to assault, buildings to vandalize, ‘wrongs’ to right, and flags to burn.

As exhausted Portlanders already know, this group was pulling these violent antics well before anyone had ever heard of Patriot Prayer.

CROSS TO BE RESTORED TO CHURCH ON L.A. COUNTY SEAL; ACLU THREATENS SUIT

LOS ANGELES COUNTY SEALThe Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, which represents a population greater than a number of States, has voted 3-2 to restore the cross to the Mission church on the L.A. County Seal in order to accurately depict the Mission which now appears on the County Seal.

The motion, filed by Supervisor Michael Antonovich, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of The American Legion, and Supervisor Don Knabe, was supported by Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, a political Liberal who once headed the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in L.A. and was once a member of the Board of the ACLU of So. California. Supervisors Zev Zarovslosky and Gloria Molina voted against the motion, as reported by the L.A. Times

Attorney Peter Eliasberg of the ACLU, which reacts like Dracula to the sight of a cross and has become the intolerant Taliban of American progressive liberal secularism, immediately threatened to sue, to no one’s surprise. CROSS ACLU DRACULA
Eliasberg is the ACLU attorney who spent ten years fanatically suing to destroy the Mojave Desert Veterans Memorial cross. One has to drive to that desert cross honoring veterans to be offended by it — it is bolted atop a rock outcrop some some twelve miles off the highway on a two-lane desert road. But that didn’t deter Eliasberg and the ACLU secular extremists from a decade of litigation trying to destroy it, all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Alas, the cross-destroying crusader Eliasberg then made a fool of himself before the U.S. Supreme Court when he made a misleading misrepresentation about the memorial in response to a question from Chief Justice Roberts. Eliasberg was later embarrassingly admonished by Roberts during oral argument for Eliasberg’s  misrepresentation to the Court when staff presented the Chief Justice with the true facts pertaining to his question.

The Supreme Court ultimately rejected the ACLU’s arguments. The cross honoring veterans has been restored to the Mojave Desert Veterans Memorial. However, possessed of massive amounts of chutzpah if not tolerance for expression of America’s religious history,  the secular extremist ACLU continues into its 24th year of litigation to destroy the cross honoring veterans at the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial.

Now Eliasberg and the ACLU threaten to sue the County for putting the cross back on the Mission church, just as that Mission appears in real life. That is, the ACLU is contending that the depiction of the Mission as it actually exists must be falsified by the County in order not to violate the Establishment of Religion Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

The absurdity of ACLU anti cross lawsuits has made it the butt of social media jokes.
The absurdity of ACLU anti cross lawsuits has made it the butt of social media jokes.

The irony of this is that the Mission is on the current County Seal only because the ACLU threatened to sue the County’s former Seal — and to seek thousands upon thousands of judge-ordered, taxpayer-paid attorney fee “awards” in litigation. That former Seal, designed by the late Supervisor Kenneth Hahn, so liberal and politically correct he would make Obama appear conservative.

The ACLU threatened lawsuit (and a claim for taxpayer-paid attorney fees) because Hahn’s seal  depicted the Hollywood Bowl with a tiny cross appearing  above the arch over the stage. That happens to be what audience members actually see at the Bowl because the large, brightly lit cross is on a hill behind and overlooking the Bowl on private property  (The cross is not “floating” above the Bowl arch as if arbitrarily stuck there by Hahn, as the L.A. Times reporters wrote.

Thus, as Joseph Stalin wiped his political enemies out of  Communist Soviet Union history by airbrushing them out of photos in repeatedly  re-issued history books by his Communist Party after each Stalin-ordered execution, so the ACLU and its intolerant liberal lawyers like Eliasberg march forward —  “on the right side of history,” as proud progressive liberal Barack Hussein Obma likes to say– wiping out  from the public square and and consciousness  all symbols and expressions of America’s own religious history and heritage, almost always the cross.

Stalin would be pleased at the acts of his emulative progressive liberal successors in the contemporary ACLU.
