Let me get this straight: enemy combatants, such as the 9/11 terrorists, have access to the US Courts? Why should they have the ability to commit an act of war and, instead of being sent to the gallows, get a lawyer? Oh, and we have to pay for their lawyer, too. You don’t think those “pro bono” lawyers from Portland etc are actually working for free, do you? They’ll bill the feds for their time. That’s us.
