Callahan drew at least two cartoons (and maybe more) based on my talk shows. We disagreed on the Iraq war; he was deeply embittered. It was hard to talk to him about it.
He was a flawed man and showed people his flaws. He could be raw. He was genuine.
I hadn’t seen him in the hood for awhile. I didn’t realize he was so ill.
