LOL! That’s at least one full dead tree, hopefully salvaged from the Biscuit burn.
But how come none of them appear to have been folded, so they could be put in envelopes and mailed?
While I’d love to see him flooded, your photo appears to have been shopped. If so, bad move.
look at the picture again before you start rumors that are untrue and easily verified. come in tomorrow. I’ll meet you at three and show you all the letters. I’ll be looking for you.
Smelling the Lars effect max?
what does that mean
2000..Larson broadcast during his programming June 27 (KXL, 8:30 am-noon) his encouragement to sign petitions fraudulently..
max redline,
many letters were sent in FLAT…8 1/2 x 11 envelopes. Trust me!
can’t you guys see the folds in the letters?
max (or anyone), how about a little fun? – Approximate how many possible total letters could come in to the show.
1. Station ratings (avg), divided by total programs on KPAM. Assume 1 letter per listener.
2. Total links to letter from outside web sites. What possible number to derive from actual letters sent this way, unknown, but be generous – assume 10 letters for each link.
3. Unknown variables, say word of mouth, email to friends, non-audience participation, others? Pick a high number, say assume 1000 letters this way?
Any other variables? Add them to your total.

OK, I originally didn’t want to send in a signed form, but now that someone thinks it’s a Photoshop job — count me in! My form is in the mail tomorrow. Keep the pile growing and you can add mine to the table soon.
Why did you not want to send one in?
Lists!!
I always shy away from sending in forms like this as you always seem to end up on “lists.” But hey, I guess my mailbox can handle some additional junk mail (if it happens).
Max’s remarks just prompted me to send in the form that I wanted to send anyway. Good work Max!
oh2, you pose a good question –
Will personal information from these letters be used for marketing purposes or sold/shared with business partners?
I really doubt that Victoria would share our info….Victoria?…come on!! Send in your letter folks…its easy, and only costs .39 cents!
Your addresses will not be used in any way, shape, or form by KPAM Radio. Period. We wanted your addresses to add authenticity to the effort for our state officials edification. While we realize the irony of that, considering that they couldn’t care less if you’re legit on the voter rolls, WE DO care whether your’re a citizen of Oregon and SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON. Hey SW WA: Represent!
PS Do you realize that more buzz has been created about OPERATION ID because, you, Max have said it looks photo shopped?

Um, rats…it looks as though you’re catching onto the idea, Victoria. A well-placed comment can draw out some activity – and while I’ve not checked through the whole blog, I suspect you’ve set a record for the number of comments posted for any given topic since you started up.
I’ve been distributing copies of your form since around the time of the last Carusel of Criminality in Cornelius. Just an FYI.
Perhaps I’ll be able to take you up one day on your offer of a visit, but 3:00 just doesn’t work for me – I have taxes to pay (and pay). There are train lines and streetcars to be built and run, bike paths, and $7 million (5-mile) hiking trails. There are Carusels that require state agency attendance. I ask you, where is all of the money needed to pay for that going to come from if I’m not earning a paycheck?
As for Eric’s comment about the “Lars effect”, I must have missed something. I’m mystified on that one.
Max
Max, back in 2000, Wendi Meremark of Willamette Week encouraged foes of Bill Sizemore to fraudulently sign his initiative petitions. Lars repeated the idea on his show (however, claiming it as his own). No one remembers this? Anyhow…
In simpler words, I was just wondering if you thought Vic was padding her pockets – my similarity drawn between fraudulent signatures and a photoshop’d picture…the result appears much more successful than it is.
That said, I think credibility (and irony) would dictate you check that every letter signature indeed belongs to actual citizens – when using them as proof of actual citizens making this demand.
How many jokers out there have sent in a letter signed with the name of their favorite Beetle?
Eric,
As long as their signature matched the one on their voter registration card, John, Paul, George, and Ringo could all vote.
And the fact that 2 of them are dead and they are all from a foreign country wouldn’t change a thing.
The point being made is that NOBODY CHECKS. All they check is the signature, not the ID.
And if only voter registrations got half the signature scrutiny that conservative (or green party) petitions get.

The state would be far more secure.
