Not a World War? Look Where Jihadist Activity Exists. It’s Marked in Red for You.

Thanks to Jihad Watch for the Visual Aid. I was inspired to look for a map after seeing one on NBC and after reading Tony Blankley’s (author of “The West’s Last Chance”) latest piece in the Washington Times.

  1. I am amazed at how many people fail to see this as a World War with radical terrorists who have misinterpreted the Qu’Ran bent on world domination.

Call it WW3 or WW4, doesn’t matter, it is defintely a world war that too many from the left and some RINOs seem bent on making us lose.

  2. Hmmm, seems I learned in Sunday School that God helps those that help themselves.

Ya’ll can sit around and wait on the rapture if you wish, I prefer to go out standing on my own two feet.

BTW, nice try at acting religious. I’ve seen better in Church when I was but a wee lad.

  3. “God helps those who help themselves” is probably the most often quoted Bible verse that actually is not in the Bible. In fact the Bible teaches the opposite. God helps the helpless! Isaiah 25:4 declares, “For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat…” Romans 5:6 tells us, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”

In terms of salvation, we are all utterly helpless. We are all infected by sin (Romans 3:23), and condemned as a result of that sin (Romans 6:23). Nothing we can do on our own can remedy this situation (Isaiah 64:6). We are helpless! Thankfully, God is the helper of the helpless. While we were still sinners (helpless), Jesus died for us (Romans 5:8). Jesus paid the penalty that we were helpless to pay (2 Corinthians 5:21). God provided the “help” that we need precisely because we could not help ourselves.

  4. Like I said, I learned it in Sunday School, not from the Bible. It is actually a quote from Benjamin Franklin.

Since this isa bout world war, some other scripture seems to be in order.

Psalms 18:32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. 33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. 35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness F52 hath made me great. 36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. 37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. 38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. 39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. 40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me. 41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not. 42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets. 43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me. 44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me. 45
The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places. 46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

  5. According to that map, we are trapped. I will seriously consider moving to Greenland. The map is reminiscent of the old commie-scare maps of the 1950s. John Birch anyone? Hey, it’s a great diversion from Quagmire II.

  6. Fizziwigg.

At least there is one benefit of getting older. We’ve seen much of this same bs before. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I for one thought the mistakes of Vietnam would not be repeated for at least a couple of generations. Boy was I wrong.

  7. Dear Ms Victoria, the libs cannot openly recognize the world as it is without blowing their whole “Bush lied, America is evil, no wmd” nonsense. The religion of appeasement (that’s the Democrat Party to you lefties) cannot abandon the “religion of peace” mantra and not start cheering the Israelis for kicking terrorist butt. You may have noticed that airhead america (just the other day) was blaming Israel and claiming that hezbollah was NOT a terrorist organization, while Charles Schumer (oh yeah, a DEMOCRAT) was condemning the Iraqi head of state as an anti-semite for not declaring hezbollah to be a….wait for it….TERRORIST organization!! Do these idiots read their own stuff? Nothing matters to the left except the destruction of their OWN country. The Democrat game plan (there’s an oxymoron for you) could be the updated dictionary definition of mental illness.

  8. I do not believe America is evil.

I do not believe George Bush is evil.

I DO think George Bush is a terrible leader with poorly thought-out ideas that suffer from what one might call “tunnel vision”. Someone in his position needs to be able to think several steps ahead. He has trouble with the *next* step.

I DO feel that he is not doing anything to make things better for living conditions around the world — or my own, for that matter.

I DO feel that this administration has bent and abused the rules so much that it does not even realize that what it is doing is offensive to half of the country, and that that half is just as American as anyone else.

I believe I will have a big party the day W. finally leaves office.

  9. I for one thought the mistakes of Vietnam would not be repeated for at least a couple of generations.

Me too, fizzi. I didn’t think I would ever see the drive-by leftstream media lying about our endeavors or embracing our enemies again as they have today.

Then again, after the enti-war left cost America an additional 40,000 lives in Viet Nam, you would have thought they had learned as well.

    Guess not.

Maybe you all will succeed again and instead of abdoning a struggling country to communism, it will fall to radical Islam and a few million more will be slaughtered.

That is the legacy of the leftist.

  10. I believe I will have a big party the day W. finally leaves office.

Glad to hear you plan on celebrating another Republican victory 😉

    As for the article itself, I have to take exception to a part of it;

President Bush has failed in five years to successfully make the case either to America or to the Western world that we are, in fact, in a mortal, worldwide struggle,

Bush, while not the world’s greatest orator, has been continually speaking out and met with guffaws and opposition and even cries of outright lying by the left, the drive-by media and Democrats. When you have nearly 80% of the media aligned against you, how can you get any message out?

Cries have been going out, not only from Bush, but from amny of the rest of us. They fall on deaf ears of those misled by the left who can’t see beyond their next joint.

You can bet your bottom dollar, had either of the loser Democrats actually won the elections and taken similar steps, you would see far different coverage in the leftstream media. As was the case when we bombed Kosovo from 35,000 feet, which never attacked us nor posed any threat at all to us, while cries of carnage and mayhem went ignored in Rwanda.

  11. Well, fizzi, if accountability is what you’re after, when does the Clinton administration get held accountable for their poor showing in dealing with North Korea’s nukes and the Islamofascists?

You seem to think a war should go as one of your video games. Nothing could be further from the truth. If Clinon and Weasley Clark’s efforts towards Kosovo are to be held as “the way to do it,” who is accountable for the Chinese Embassy being bombed and why are troops still there?

Doesn’t matter who is in office, war is as unpredictable as anything in life. All the best laid plans go right out the window as soon as you are facing your enemy.

From the get go Bush has been saying this is going to be a long protracted fight. Previous administrations, both Democrat and Republican, failed to deal with terrorism until they grew to the strength they have today.

Of course, the alternative, something the libbys seem to desire, is to simply give in, place burhkas on your women and if your 16 year old daughter wears make-up or kisses a boy, she can be publicly hanged for “engaging in acts incompatible with chastity.” You that support gay marriage? You think they will allow that? Think again.

    Atefeh Rajabi

Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, wherever, it’s all the same misguided and radical terrorist, they just call themselves a different name.

Instead of all the belly-aching, maybe if the left showed some support and actually joined in opposing these terrorists, they will be defeated.

Your call, and the rest of the libby left.

  12. Oh brother, still on the Clinton kick. When Clint’s name enters the argument one knows the cons are running on empty. How man troops died in Kosovo? How much are we spending in Kosovo these days?.

From the get go we were told that Americans would be greeted as liberators, that Iraq’s infrastructure would be rebuilt and that their oil would pay for it.

“Best laid plans”? Are you kidding, it is well documented that this administration ignored the military advice and no post-Saddam plan.

This president’s betrayal of the Iraqis, his betrayal of the armed forces, his betrayal of those who supported him, is profound. Some of his supporters like CLewless will forgive him. This much I’m sure of: History won’t.”

The “war on terror” began as a fairly straightforward affair. Al Qaeda hit us. Then we went after Al Qaeda.
The enemy was clear, and the evidence against Al Qaeda was solid We had a lot of support around the world in pursuit of our mission to hunt these men down, kill them or capture them and do with them as we pleased”

But inexorably, month by month, the Bush administration broadened the war on terror to include ever more peoples and countries, especially Saddam’s Iraq, relying on thinner and thinner evidence to do so.And what began as a hunt for a relatively contained group of self-declared murderers like bin Laden became a feckless dragnet of tens of thousands of hapless Arab victims, the vast majority of whom had nothing to do with Al Qaeda or terror, just as Saddam had little to do with Al Qaeda, just as the Iraqi insurgency had little to do with Al Qaeda (at least at the start), just as Hezbollah has nothing to do with Al Qaeda.

Read the conservative press. Thoughtful conservatives aren coming to agree with the above.

  13. I believe the left showed a great deal of support in Afghanistan, where the terrorists were, but were disenchanted by the Administration’s conduct at Tora Bora, its abandonment of the hunt for Bin Laden, and its abandonment of Afghanistan for Iraq where the terrorists weren’t.

  14. Iraq and Iran were historical antagonists. Iraq was sectarian government with Sunni influence while Iran was Islamic fundamentalist(Shiite) government. We supported Iraq in the Iran/Iraq War except when Reagan sold missiles to Iran to fund the illegal Contra War. We gave the green light to Saddam to invade Kuwait. No wonder if the Arabs and the Persians are confused. Now we are confronted with the possibility of a fundamentalist Shiite government in Iraq ergo, an ally for Iran who has sponsored terrorists acts against the US, wants to destroy Israel and is a sponsor of Hezbollah. Was this great planning or what?

iknowhowtospell, I hope I can get an invitation to your party when W. leaves office. It can’t be any worse with a new president, whether Democrat or Republican, except of course someone like Pat Robertson. Be sure there is an available street for dancing.

  15. Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies. From these proceed debts and taxes. And armies, debts and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the dominion of the few. . . . No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.” James Madison 1795:

  16. I am still completely amazed at how the same old tired leftwing anti-war hate Bush talking points are still being brought up after they have been soundly refuted time and time again.

I guess the left won’t be happy until they have terrorists roaming freely about America pulling that same stuff they do elsewhere here.

Amazing that the left will palce their hatred of george Bush over the safety of their families and themselves.

Keep your heads in the sand, it’s coming this way too soon, again.

  17. Scott McLean said…
    No.

Comment: It could escalate into a world war if our president and Congress don’t begin to realize America can’t solve all the problems in the Middle East.

  18. No one can solve the problems of the Middle East except the Middle Easterners, yes. However, what do we do in the meantime with those that are exporting their terrorism beyond the Middle East?

Just as happened in Seattle recently, there is a mindset that blames others for matters we are not even involved in. Simple hatred of anothers beliefs spurs some to act very irrationally and ends up killing innocent people.

  19. President Bush’s mishandling of the War in Iraq and America’s subsequent disengagement from a host of military and diplomatic confrontations around the world highlight the fact that his policies have made America less safe. And at home, the Bush White House and the “Do-Nothing” Republican Congress have not done enough to keep our borders and or ports secure.

  20. the Bush White House and the “Do-Nothing” Republican Congress have not done enough to keep our borders and or ports secure.

While I’m not 100% satisfied with their performance, please list all terrorist attacks within our borders and ports since 9-11.

Also, could you possibly list all terrorist attacks prevented by the Clinton Administration or Democrats in COngress.

    Thanks

  21. Hey Fuzzy: You said that when Clinton’s name enters an argument, one knows that the cons are running on empty.

You missed one thing : When a liberal Dumocrat says anything, you know they are running on empty.
